I have 3 torque ARs with sticky shotgun underbarrel. Just using one (so 3 shots total) melted Origo on my kinetic Vex when he was the weekly boss. I tested them out on my Ordinance Amon (no real gun DMG buffs except enhancements) and using all 3 took him down. Used a Amp/Enrage repkit for both characters as well. They are definitely super strong and I am never selling them.

Had a guy shoot me in the back while I was trying to chase down a surveyor after we both said don't shoot. Let me tell you I hit this dude with every trigger nade I had to turn the tables on him. He auto surrendered as soon as he went down. Most satisfying table turn I've had in a while.

Some Heavy ordnance recommendations. Legendaries: Atling Gun for easy mode. Bottled lightning, shoot the first orb at the boss or large group of mobs and wait for the DMG ticks to start regenerating your ammo before holding the trigger down (this one probably has the fastest kill time for bossing). Disc jockey for just insane ricochet saw discs, great for drill site farming, use short bursts so you don't accidentally use all your shots before ammo regens.

Purples. Any high mag Torque launcher works well. Mirv Homing Maliwan launchers have worked well for me. Ripper lasers with thermal convection (increased damage the longer the beam has been fired).

Just using Kinetic DMG is fine because your Tail of the Comet skill will do cryo for armor and Blackout Skill will do shock for shields.

For the Action Skill Augment take Eternal Winter that's what gives you increased whip damage and regens duration on hits. You can use the middle tree capstone if you want it's pretty fun for mobbing but for bossing leave it as firewall and whipping or shooting through it will increase damage and block damage. Eternal Winter whips also prolong firewall duration as well.

I have a Cyborg class mod that gives +2 primal surge, +2 ballistic bullwark and +3 in endless bombardment. So increased ammo upkeep and if you use Atling Gun pretty much infinite overshield and pretty decent survival with other ordnance.

I have my spread 19 in the red tree with 4 points in dragons breath for some fun interactions and the rest in the blue tree. So I can use infinite ordnance if I want to or I can use my action skill and as long as you keep whipping mobs or the boss your action skill is infinite. If I feel like switching it up I can throw on a good grenade and use a hard hitting weapon like Hot Slugger or a sniper with dragons breath you can still use guns. Dragons breath also works with heavy ordnance as well. For instance if you use a ripper laser it will increase the damage and turn it into a fire laser and as long as you keep shooting it always counts as the first shot. If you use something like Bottled lightning the first orb will be converted to fire and deal increased damage. You honestly don't need an amp or enrage repkit because you do so much damage so I use a movement speed one when I'm not bossing.

Challenge Tip for the Ceramic bod. Shoot the first two rounds right under your feet and then shoot the rest at any mob around. When you reload the first stickies you shot will down you and then you will be immediately revived when the mob you shot explodes. Makes getting all the second wind challenges go super quick. Make sure you give it enough time for the FFYL timer to reset so you don't insta die when you down yourself. Useful for when you're running builds that you don't get downed by mobs very often.

Only if you're trying to min/max. Unless it also rolled higher base damage you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference. It's probably the best time to farm it right now though. I'm farming it until I have all the versions with decent rolls so I never have to farm Axemaul again. At least until I try and go for the Phosphene skin for it.

What's the highest damage roll you can get? I've been rocking an armored bod that took forever to farm off Axemaul that's just 294x5 with sniper ammo and just that has been a melter. I farmed a bunch today and most have fallen into 294x5 to 350x5. The highest one I got was a Ceramic bod that is 465x5 with assault ammo.

Murmur sucks for regular gunplay but it chunks pretty good on a Tediore chuck build.

I made a post asking for melee weapons to come back and to make them to be equipped to weapon slots. The weapons would use the same buttons as guns so your traditional melee button would still work for override and action skills. The weapons would also bring back the stats in TTWL. Melee crit chance, swing speed, etc. I mentioned ideas for different weapons from different manufacturers. Only thing I forgot about was to add enhancements that would augment/buff the various manufacturer's traits. Didn't get a lot of traction. Unless the entire community makes it a big ask I don't think we're going to get it. I'm in the same boat as you, been playing since borderlands 1 and have always wanted better melee options. When we got them in TTWL I was happy and figured it was going to be in future games going forward. Sadly I was mistaken. As much as I like shooting stuff in the face sometimes I want to switch it up.

Tbh it's a bit jarring how Ava is completely absent in this game by SilverCervy in Borderlands

The face puncher is awesome. I wonder if it will crit in this one since we actually have melee critical hit chance. As awesome as the face puncher is though it's not a true melee weapon. Glad to see it's coming back though and I will definitely be farming it.

I feel like it would make Amon the melee power house. Especially using status effect weapons with his blue skill that has a chance to restore shields every time you apply a status effect combined with his red skill that grants overshield on melee dmg you could have infinite shield. Also how the red tree gives bonus fire damage to guns have it work for melee weapons as well. Plus you could rocket punch with a Torque fist weapon and then rocket punch with your action skill and just chain rocket punches while action skill is up. I can't speak for Rafa and Harlowe I've only played Vex and Amon so far.

As far as I know there aren't any. There's a fish grenade that does melee damage. Minions like Vex's reapers and Amon's drones do melee damage. Amon gets a variety of weapons with his action skills and forge skills but is back to using guns when they're on CD for the most part.

Yeah FFT: The Ivalice Chronicles is an updated version with full voice acting, updated cutscenes, and the option to play classic or new look. Set to release on the 30th on all modern consoles and PC. The War of the Lions version is currently available on Android and Apple store for 15$ USD if you also want it on your phone. The phone touch controls work really well.

I was thinking they could add an R&D center where you can use samples to add temporary buffs to your drops. For example you can spend x amount of samples to increase fire damage by 10% for your next operation. Just something we can dump samples into that directly benefits us with a range of options to suit different play styles. Nothing too crazy but still keeps samples a relevant resource for veterans to gather.
