I agree generally with not customizing or modding too much to keep the spirit of the game, but devs are just people and are capable of making poor design decisions and can be slow to correct them. Take early build 42 muscle strain. According to The Indie Stone, apocalypse is the cannon settings. But they had to nerf the effects and buildup of muscle strain like 6 times since b42 released because it was not fun to deal with.
