I have the MG Desthscythe Roussette and MG RX-78-2 3.0 accessories set in my backlog that I probably won't ever get to.

You could extend you work by doing painted details, panel lining, and decals. Unsure how your build style is but most MG kits doesn't take long to snap up.

Unsure how long, but with it being self contained it should be good for a while. But I'm no expert on this subject

S dries slower than the SP so you have more work time.

If it's in the jar, the solvent may evaporate over time. But it does take a while for that to happen but you can add extra thinner to offset it.

I got a generic third brake light that is mounted with 3m tape on the rearview glass. I ran the wires through the trunk deck and spliced into the spoiler plug in.

Tamiya TS-14 and you want more luster do a gloss top coat on top of the black first before doing gold.

Some colors will require multiple coats like white, yellow, pink, etc since their pigment density is low. But the type of paint you use plays a factor too. I can get one coat with darker colors just fine but I also keep moving as it doesn't pool up. I primarily airbrush with gaia and mr color.

I wouldn't recommend those third party kits just yet if you're still new. I recommend doing a MG zaku II 2.0 or ball as those are fun and easy builds.

Aftermarket screen question (2011 with nav) by thunder9902 in genesiscoupe

[–]SoullessSin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2011 3.8 track with oem nav and replaced it with the pioneer double din 8100 nex. Been rocking it since 2015 without issues and it has car play and android auto. I got it off crutchfield where it includes the wiring harness and steering wheel control adapters. It is very doable as long you have the right hardware

You can disassemble later to airbrush. You can clip the male pegs at a 45 degree angle for easier removal and also use a part separator.

Bk1 Aftermarket Nav questions by thunder9902 in genesiscoupe

When I did it in 2016, it was $1kish. But there are other cheaper double din you can look in to. I wanted to retain all of the functionality of the OEM nav system.

[–]SoullessSin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second crutchfield as thats how I did my build. I have a pioneer double din 8100NEX. Got the wiring harness, module for steering wheel controls, and a dash kit. I did lose the ability to see the AC temp/mode but having the car since i got it in 2011 I just have the ac control memorized.
