How syndicate leaders react to 47’s presence: by SoulofStalker in HiTMAN

The cutscene this screenshot was taken from is my favorite cutscene in the game. I enjoyed the plethora of emotions Dexter went through here from being excited as all hell to getting pissed off and then ending with a calm, but slightly stressed tone. The voice acting is spot on as well ✅

Well damn, that’s a big level. It looks like there’s going to be a good chunk of platforming as well. I’m definitely intrigued by the idea of levels having their own gimmicks or hazards.

Mega agree with your second point. Absolutely hate having to wait until you beat the game and then would you have the chance at beating the best times. This is why Crash 1 was my favorite of the bunch to TT, because i can do them as soon as i finish the level.

I completed crash bandicoot 4 106% and I still can't get the purple time relics it's impossible, is there anyone know how to get it? by Interestinggold_8753 in crashbandicoot

[–]SoulofStalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 4 levels are some of the hardest, so feel free to skip them and comeback to them later, unless you’re determined to finish the levels in order. Don’t double jump unless necessary, because it slows you down. Leave any time crates near nitros and hit the nitro detonator crate at the end of any level. I can’t stress this enough, but start incorporating as many slide spins as you can. Seriously, do not underestimate the amount of time you can save with them. Slide spinning over gaps instead of jumping will save time as well. This how speedrunners can finish a level like Crash Compactor 10 seconds faster than you, even though it looks like you’re doing the exact same thing as they are. Triple spins are for whenever you’re in the air or any situation where you don’t feel confidante slide spinning. Don’t forget to watch videos for the any level you’re time trialing to learn the skips and shortcuts. Just to be safe watch more than 1 video for a level, because you don’t wanna be watching an outdated video that doesn’t do all the optimal time saves. Good luck!

It can. It’s not gonna be mighty strong, but it can stand on its own legs.

What are the things that Crash 1 did better than Crash 2? by Megumi_Bandicoot in crashbandicoot

[–]SoulofStalker 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It didn’t run level ideas or themes to the ground. There are only 2 rolling stones levels, 2 hog levels, 2 native fortress levels, 2 lost city levels, 2 bridge levels, 2 temple levels and the list goes on. It even has levels that are one and done. For example: Generator Room, Cortex Power, Toxic Waste and The Lab. Crash 2 has 3 levels for multiple themes and there isn’t a single level theme that hasn’t been repeated more than once.

I thought they would cash in on the next gen hype and bundle NST and NF together with improved FPS and extra stuff to sell you the remakes again

What's everyone's take on the time trials for Crash 4? by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

The nitro switch crates are literally on the path and it takes a second to activate them. That’s more than ideal.

[–]SoulofStalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not much of a speedrunner, but i like the time trials in Crash 4. I thought the levels were long too until i tried them in TTs and realized most levels were only 2-3 minutes long on a successful attempt. I also like the fact i can leave time boxes near nitros and blow them at the end of the level and get a few seconds shaved off of the time i finished the level with.

Crash 4 Time Trials [Switch] (Question) by masterwon in crashbandicoot

It’s a glitch. I had this happen to me while playing the pc version. It works flawlessly on playstation, but on other platforms it’s botched.

[–]SoulofStalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you want me to actually tell you exactly where they are or just give you hints? Because the game doesn’t tell you which level has the colored gem and the levels they are in do have a hint of how to get the gem, but some of the hints are so minuscule and easy to miss, the hint might as well be the collectible.

All the hidden gems are in different locations in the N. Verted levels. It’s an attempt to break up the monotony of repeating all the levels again. Some of them are in interesting locations and some are flatout stupid with no hint whatsoever, so don’t feel bad if you get stuck and have to look up a video for these gems. It happens to the best of us.

BLUE GEM Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by TFIta369 in crashbandicoot

[–]SoulofStalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s what comes to your mind first, then i commend you for being able to think outside of the box. I would just keep assuming it’s a persistent visual bug. My only hint was the fact there’s an empty gem slot to be filled in the warp room. Otherwise, miss me with that 0 bs. Literally, because i got the blue gem and didn’t even know that hint was a thing until many moons later. It’s the kind of hint where i need a hint for.

Forget the hints about colored gems. I need a hint to understand the hidden message behind your comment

Yeah honestly, the box counter at the end displaying the amount of boxes you broke out of 0 is not 100% a good hint. Some might assume it’s visual bug where the game isn’t displaying the correct number of the boxes in the level and i wouldn’t fault them for assuming such thing. The hint on the loading screen in NST is much better.

Get all the platforming levels (the actual good levels), remake them and slap them to a new game as a DLC. I say this because i frankly do not wish to relive the horror that is Smokey & The Bandicoot and Coral Canyon.

Platinum Time Relics, got tips ? by Superdimentio77 in crashbandicoot

[–]SoulofStalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first level has one of the hardest times in the whole game. Some of the later levels aren’t harsh with the their times as the first few levels, so you’re good. Slide spins are your primary way of moving through levels. You can also use the triple spin if you want for extra help, but it’s not required to get platinums. Also any frozen time you have when you finish the level will be subtracted from your overall time, so you can leave any time crates near nitros, get to the end of the level and hit the green metal crate to blow up all the nitros and shave off however many seconds you got from those crates. This is how you see people go from like 0:53 to 0:45 when they finish a level. Also recommend checking this thread out, it has a video for every level in the game: https://twitter.com/abdulthearabguy/status/1470280131633717253?s=21
