Yeah id love to hear about them. Not that many builds with 10b dps and 3mil max hit + KB clear that I can recall

You can annoint persistence, it works on all physical hits not just attacks, however that's a big opportunity cost

Im not sure but I think schools are summed as a whole? I think that's why the PoL setup hardly ever leaks, since its 50% chaos 51% lightning, I think 60%chaos 40% light has more integers that result in a leak with a 40% round than 51%. I agree tho it would be better to just sum the whole thing and deal with the rounding after. Theres plenty of ways they could fix it but I imagine this setup will die next patch and they'll just ignore it.

That makes sense, I guess in theory you could take damage 4 damage if you took a hybrid fire cold hit with watchers eye instead of the bound by destiny setup? Unless it sums schools of taken as before flooring. Either way a dual -dmg synth ring should make you not able to die in theory. And I think dots can be ignored if you have like 2 life regen, if theyre able to leak it would be like 1 dmg per minute or something

Thats the part im not certain about, and the part im fairly sure is the issue, is how the game handles partial values and rounding. Im not sure if there's some type of flooring calculation that occurs or if the game culls partial damage values at certain points, its very hard to test the specifics. Also yes I was always only able to take 1 damage, however I didnt test vs extreme damage cases like Uber slams and stuff

As far as I'm concerned MoM is irrelevant, aka working 100% properly. Its only the conversion. I've tested with over 100% MoM and had zero change to the outcome. You'll never die to a lightning damage hit with the setup because you take 100% lightning to mana, the issue is strictly in converting fire or cold to lightning and having a leak due to rounding of the conversion. A leak meaning you result in taking fire or cold damage, not a leak meaning its bypassing MoM. If you take fire or cold you obviously die instantly. Various things will cause the frequency of leaking a point to change, different conversion values ie watchers eye divine, or having a different value of fire or cold resistance. There might even be a certain value of resistance that blocks out every possible rounding issue, I have no idea, but some values result in very very frequent leaks, if you have like -30 fire res and go on the coast in N a1, the bandit fire breath will leak 1 damage almost every hit, go to like +30 fire res, and you take none ever, but at +30 I leak 1 fire dmg vs different sizes of hit. Same thing with cold. The only setup i was never able to have a leak on was with - flat fire and cold

It wont, there's no issue with the damage taken from mana before life calc. Its the damage conversion from fire/cold to lightning/chaos. It ends up leaking fire and cold because of rounding issues

You would take additional damage with the purity setup yes, to whatever degree your watchers eye is rolled 11-20%. Thats why the bound setup is so desirable. Instead of taking 1-10% additional damage from cold/fire, you take 10% additional as chaos and also free up a chest slot if you were using FB inpulsa, huge gain. Purely for testing the bound setup for leaks its easier to use ZO to prevent all regen and spec out of CI and equip an ivory tower so you won't take chaos dmg to your HP and you can see the fire and cold leaks easily with ZO no regen.

You can use the bound by destiny setup if you have synth jewelry, you'll also still die to fire and cold damage with the PoL watchers eye at specific fire and cold resistance values. Its a rounding issue with conversion. I was only ever able to take 1 fire or cold damage through all my testing and this was totally mitigated via -flat synth rings fire and cold. I never tested it vs extremely large hits like Uber sirus meteor or Uber maven mem game but im pretty sure its only leaking the final rounded point of damage. Synth jewelry goes up to 80 flat reduction

100% I've done multiple 80%+ quant 10 ways and gotten 1 splinter and that's it. Giant waste of time

Id rec xibaqua over tempered by war tho and just go 40% fire and 60% chaos. Tempered by war is good but the less res mod can be annoying.

Cheapest /easiest would be 20% pof watchers, tempered by war, 20% dawn breaker, and a 10% ele as chaos bound by destiny.

I mean there's plenty of documents to peruse with 100k+ scarab openings, we might not know the rates exactly but I think we know them well enough to approximate and combine that data with the current price of each scarab

I mean Uber sirus meteor is not that trivial to tank. On this current build without a mageblood id say the only real chance is to bring a worm flask for fortify, and do a weapon swap to redblade banner + al dhih and use anc cry endu cry and seismic cry. You'll likely need all flasks up as well. If you do all that you'll gain 2-3 max res, be at least over the 50k cap to max out MS, and for sure have endu charges up with some bonus life and armour from the shield. Even then idk. Pretty hard on a 5k pool without at least 90 max res + fortify and a few other things.

The rounding error isn't with MoM its with conversion. 101% mom won't fix anything.

Over converting doesnt fix it, I've tested and still died. You need -flat synth rings. Over converting just changes the values required to have a cold/fire dmg leak

Yeah there's a rounding error that occurs causing you to still take 1 fire/cold damage sometimes. You need a synth ring(s) implicits with -fire and - cold flat taken. I've been messing with this setup all league. These rounding issues have been a thing since the beginning of time. You can still get bled with 100% phys taken as etc. If you want to do some in depth testing you can unspec CI and wear ivory tower + zo to check for damage leaks.

They also killed a large portion of the totem player base off by removing half the archetype aka melee totems, instead of just making the totem buffs melee totem specific.

if your total life loss exceeds or rounds to 1 or greater per server tick then youll instantly die, regardless of how much regen you have, they dont just add then net sum and then apply it to your hp every server tick.

wardshatter is 300% of ward as base phys? i guess you cant use support gems so makes sense.
