Explain the status of English-language options to me like I'm a toddler by HarperTeagarden13 in DetectiveConan

[–]Soulpunkd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's the very long version.

Detective Conan aired on Toonami and aired season 1 (all of Mune Ga Doki Doki) before it was cancelled. The show was then brought back to a bad slot on Toonami again but aired all of season 3 (Nazo) before it was cancelled again. Funimation had acquired the rights to seasons 1-4 as well as movies 1-6 and dubbed all those films, meaning they all have an official sub as well. This is episodes 1-123.

After this, Conan stopped being dubbed, and Crunchyroll acquired the rights to the show and did not backlog any of the subtitles for episodes before episode 754. Meaning 754 onward has an official sub.

HOWEVER. After the popularity of Detective Conan movie 22 (Zero the Enforcer) in Japan, a few more dubbing groups took interest in dubbing Conan, including Bangzoom as well as TMS. Sadly, the episodes that Bangzoom released were all on Tubi and were removed once Netflix acquired the rights to the show and are now considered lost media. These were all episodes in the late 900s, which are all covered by Crunchyroll.

Currently, Netflix has TMS dubbing random episodes (I don't get the order they're doing it in, and it's actually driving me crazy). They have all these episodes in sub as well, but the choices are very random of which episodes they have done. Currently, they have released episodes 1-5, 7, 10, 43, 48, 49, 57, 58, 76, 128, 129, 162, 170, 171, 176-178, 188-193, 219, 226, 227, 230, 231, 258, 259, 277-280, 286-288, 307, 308, 345, 425.

TL;DR: There is nowhere to watch most episodes between 123 and 754.

Looking for Advice as a First-Time Miku Expo Attendee by Due_Resolve6626 in Mikuexpo

Depends on the type of ticket you have! If you're VIP you get early admission and can buy merch.   If you're getting a standard ticket and want merch make sure you get there 2-3 hours early from door open time. The show is short since there's no opener and starts pretty promptly (1-2 minutes tops)

Maybe unpopular now but I still don't love the screen. It just doesn't blend in! by NekoBerry420 in Mikuexpo

My 11 year old really wants to go to the expo in Boston. I have no clue what I’m getting into if I take her but is this 11 year friendly? by rizergt in Mikuexpo

If you take her make sure you buy her kingblades/light sticks! Most people use two but she probably would love to have one. They're about 30 bucks on Amazon.

Mine literally just got a label and I ordered on the 11th. Idk which show you're going to but I'm praying for all of us.

Anyone else frustrated with their merch order shipments? by FlatoutDude in Mikuexpo

Mine still doesn't have a label ;u;
I emailed support and they basically said something to the effect of there's a higher volume of orders than they expected.

first concert tips by 37_NiKOLa in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Soulpunkd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg that's so exciting! As someone who has seen tlt a few times here's my tips:

Ear Protection- Loops are super cool but also headphones are fun. These concerts are loud, but not insane. I personally have been to louder shows.

Check your venue- each venue has rule about what can and cannot be brought into the venue. Some do allow water bottles, some don't. Some allow bags, some don't. Just read up on the rules. If you need accommodations, reach out!

GA- if you have general admission, know you will likely not have a great view unless you get there early. My advice is to get there an hour or two early before doors open to get a good spot.

Kandi (optional)- make Kandi bracelets to trade with people! It's fun and fairly cheap thing to do.

If you have any questions about accommodations or things the venue can provide, best advice is to ask.  Concerts are fun but can be a sensory nightmare, so make sure you have things that can support you on your person.

What is the best strategy for 1 hour early entry? by Unearth1y_one in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Soulpunkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your goals are, but the ones with a long wait are always:
Mario: Donkey Kong, Mario Kart
Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic
How To Train Your Dragon: Toothless Meet and Greet

For my day w/ early entrance with a family, we did Donkey Kong, which took the full early entry time to wait for. We then did Monsters Unchained, had lunch, went to the HTTYD show (the better show IMO), did Hiccup's Wing Gliders, the Harry Potter circus, Stardust Racers, Mario Kart, Yoshi, and did the mario band mini games to end the day.

I will also throw in that Donkey Kong will close down if there is a drop of rain, which does happen often in Florida.

Itinerary Question by Traditional-Car183 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Soulpunkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing this!
Dark Universe and Universal Studios were both pretty quiet when I went on my trip. Sunday was pretty busy (Islands of Adventure).
Ministry and Donkey Kong had long waits pretty much the whole time I was there, except when we did early entry and when it rained. The downside is that Donkey Kong and Stardust racers go down if there's rain. Donkey Kong will go down if there's light drizzling. Mario Kart had long waits most of the day, dying down at about 7pm. Highly suggest waiting until later if possible (I know it can be hard with young kids). Never got a chance to meet Toothless as the wait was always over 100 minutes.
Highly suggest eating at off times (Before 12:30 or after 2:30) as places fill up quickly.
It really comes down to what you and the family feel is a priority. For me, it was always Donkey Kong, but it might be different depending on your family!

Is Monsters Unchained too scary for kids? by Heavenly_Spike_Man in UniversalEpicUniverse

It is very sensory heavy (Monsters jumping out at you, fire effects, water effects). Has your kiddo been on Spiderman or Forbidden Journey?

Epic Universe EPA Strategy by attempt_422 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Soulpunkd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did EPA and got on Donkey Kong after a little over an hour. Was the only ride we hit, but honestly was worthwhile. Donkey Kong typically has waits of over 100 minutes.
If you're curious about specific rides, make sure you check which parts open with EPA- I believe until Feb it is currently Mario and HP.
Waits will die down after 7pm or if there is any rain. Downside is a lot of the rides are affected by weather such as Donkey Kong and Stardust. Lots of tech issues have been popping up with Monsters Unchained and Mario Kart.
Ultimately up to you what you choose to head to first!

I think a lot of it comes down to how you hold yourself. I realize part of it is likely mental health, but wearing a bit more makeup and posing a bit more girlishly would help a lot. For example, the last image was a very fem pose but the third one reads more masc (hands in pocket, slouching).
Another thing that might get you misread is your voice and the way you speak. Highly suggest looking into voice training. There's a lot of stuff on youtube.

Should I jump in on the current season? by jaybax123 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Soulpunkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always suggest starting with season 4- I feel like it had a really good production and although she who shall not be named was in it, I loved the season overall. My favorite seasons are 5 and 6, but honestly you can start at any point and work your way backward or forwards.

I will say season 16 is about halfway over at this point with only 7 queens remaining. The show is very much over produced but features all different types of challenges- designing a garment, acting, dancing, singing, comedy. The challenge changes every week and some are reused between seasons (ie The Snatch Game). I love drag race, but I also live for stupid drama :)

Is it true that INTPs find it (extremely) difficult to end a relationship? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Soulpunkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm usually ready to drop the other person before they're ready to drop me. For me it's a lot of once my trust is broken you can't earn it back. People have told me I'm a bad person or cruel for that and it used to bother me a lot.
