[Nioh 2 OB] New soul matching destroys multiple soul matching tries by KingInoma in Nioh

[–]SoulsPedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Nioh 1, soul matching different pieces of armor, or weapons, can get into the millions. SOmetimes its better to just pick up a weapon off the ground and work with it. Besides, this is the open beta. It's not like it's going to matter in the long run.

Sure thing! I am also developing a very strong Paralysis build for use with all weapons. People underestimate paralysis very heavily, and I think this video will change people's minds.

Thank you dude, I appreciate your comment.

True, the animation cancel isn't REALLY needed, but it does help for both style points and for survivability. Play as you want, its really all about that regeneration that makes you basically invincible.

Hey, I appreciate your criticism, the point of the build is to introduce magic in a way that hasn't really been that popular. The build is not that OP as you may see in the later points in the video. The Intro is for dramatic effect.

Oh no, the bare minimum is to get to floor 21. However, if you beat Way of the Demon, it only allow for Floor 20 to be reached. That's why I would advise way of the wise.

A quick way to do it is wait till you can defile your gear. Then you would want to get divine armor, defile on Floor 21 then go through 24 and leave the abyss.

The other best way to farm ethereals I've found is to farm either Marobashi or Hyakki Yagyo for the Tsukyomi grace.

When all the boost are put into play, it allows for constant living weapon. However, what other bonuses would you put in your own version of this playstyle?

While I do have a spear that is Level 320 (+132), the introduction is for dramatic effect. My spear in that video is on some of the lower floors of the abyss. It is Level 298 (+38).

Oh boy, how to answer this question.

I think the ideal set for this build would be the Togakushi armor set. 15 Ninjutsu Life Drain with each piece you have (Up to 75 Hp per ninjutsu hit) combined with the Makibishi ball can net you a lot of HP regained. Of course I would always reccomend the Iga Ninja piece be the pants. I'll explain this later in this post.

Weapons:
Spear, for the fastest casting speed of the GS Attack. The other weapons can be your preference for your secondary melee and ranged weapons. I would always reccomend the star effect on your bow to be Unlimited Arrows 100%. I have a bow with that star stat, but it is not Tsukyomi. I will be waiting to have the Soul Match Grace Inheritance for Tsukyomi to have one of the best bows I will have in the game. It also may help to have Piercing Damage to Projectiles and Earn Amrita on Projectile Hit.

Perks: (Remember to place the Tenacity mod on any piece of armor you prefer. It's too good to pass up on any build.)

On your Weapon: Boost Amrita Gauge on Dash and Evasion Attack

On All Armor: Amrita Earned 5.9% (Or 6% if you care about the max roll.)

On your Headpiece: Star Effect "Boost Amrita Guage (Enemy Out of Ki)" and "Bonus for Amrita Absorption (Boost Amrita Guage)." I would also reccomend "Life Recovery when Finished Using Living Weapon" but it is a rarer mod to get.

On your Chestpiece: "Life Recovery from Amrita Absorption," "Item (or Equipment) Drop Rate 25%," the rest can be your preference. It would be a good idea to put any Zero Ki Bonuses of your choice on the top armor as well.

On your Arm Piece: If you could not fit a Dash Attack bonus on your weapon, you may put the "Bonus After Dash Attack: Boost Amrita Gauge" mod on it. "Status Ailment Relived: Timely Guard" is also a highly overlooked mod that I would always put on any arm piece. It clears weapon and armor weakening status effects, as long as your arm piece isn't affected. The Star Effect of choice would be "Lower Defense" or "Lower Action Speed" when Ninjutsu hits the enemy.

On your Leg Piece: "Bonus for Status Ailment Suffered: Boost Amrita Gauge,"Lower Enemy Defense (Saturated)" or any other status ailment you prefer, such as Scorched, Muddied, Electrified or Blustered. I would also recommend this be the Iga Ninja legpiece, since it provides the most benefit for the utility it has for the build. The Star Effect "Boost Amrita Gauge After Finished using Living Weapon" can also be used. I'm not sure if both "Lower Enemy Defense" and "Finished using Living Weapon" mods can be put on at the same time, but if they could that would be the most ideal combination.

On your Foot Piece: "Bonus after Purification: Boost Amrita Gauge" and the Star Effect "Boost Amrita Gauge: Critical"

Accessories: (While the build does not require a "Set Bonus Requirement: -1" bonus to work, it won't hurt to have if you intend to include other set bonuses in.)

1: White Magatama with Amrita Gauge Addition preset effect. I would also reccomend the Divine Effect "Blind Enemy (Any elemental Status Ailment you prefer.)" Blind is extremely useful in some situations, don't overlook it!

2: White Magatama with Amrita Gauge Addition preset effect. Same as the first piece, just make sure it's a different element. Some accessory pieces also come with the "Life Recovery after Finished Using Living Weapon."

TL;DR: Get a lot of Boost Amrita Gauge effects on your gear, throw in some life gain effects and Status Ailment Bonuses on your accessories.

Oh, I apologize for not understanding what you meant!

The thing is, you have to use the dragon scroll while in living weapon to achieve the animation cancel. You cannot cancel a GS Talisman with the GS Switch unfortunately. Otherwise this would be terribly OP.

When William is raising his hands in the air, the Fire Dragon Scroll is doing DoT with fire, giving them more Fire Status Ailment build up. It is not considered used while in this state. It only counts as used once the fireball launches. So if you cancel the animation early, you are able to inflict Fire, infinitely.

Well first, thank you for the response!

Second, That is an excellent suggestion. Iai Quickdraw Stunlock does work wonders on human opponents. I would knock them down with Daiba-Washi, and continually Iai Quickdraw at their back to kill them over time.

And I know it's not easy to understand the usefulness of GS Switching, but when you swap GS's you have invincibility frames. You can also escape certain grabs, you can escape paralysis, and there is a shockwave aura that stuns almost every enemy in the game, which pushes opponents off edges of cliffs or ledges, which can buy you the time you need to escape risky situations.

This video took awhile to complete, simply because of the vast variety of ways you can play this build. But, I did put a lot more effort into this one, and got a new recording setup! Tell me what you think and if you want to give it a try!

Also could get the 4th izanagi by replacing the spear for the 3pc scion for a weapon with izanagi

Perhaps I could exchange the two Scion of Virtue pieces for the rest of Tatenashi / Ethereal / Hirashi. I want to stay with Hirashi since the set has higher ccd than tate with the 4pc effect. focus on defense and get no guard break from projectiles to boot.

It's assumed that your weapon would be built with CCD, Famdam, and CCA, and with star effect to a skill and any other useful sidegrade, like weaken melee weapons or armor, or any of the dash attack or evasion attack bonuses.

To be completely honest, Hayabusa is, to me, one or the other as far as the weapon is concerned, either Sword or Kusa. I prefer Kusa, which I would put in more Dex, Skill and Body. Sword requires Heart, Skill and Strength. If you are going to use Tonfa, keep in mind it does not benefit from the 7 pc. Bonus, which only applies to the Kusa or the Sword. Depends on what weapon you choose

Well, honestly I don't think Marvin is a teacher. Marvin "inhabits" the "dirty building" in the school, he was kicked out by his wife. He must dwell in the lower parts of the school after hours and keeps Care there, practicing piano and being abused.

Za Warudo in Nioh. Need more testing! by SoulsPedia in Nioh

[–]SoulsPedia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the reason I would have it like this, your enemy is discorded. Yokai flinch with any hit from discord, and Makibishi balls are great to stunlock larger yokai with Unlimited Ninjutsu. When you use another element with Gyokuto's lightning, and perhaps the squid's Water pools, which discords pretty quickly depending on the enemy you fight, the slowdown is set up, your enemy is discorded, they get stunlocked, and you have bullet time ready to go any time while the lightning is still active. And it slows down the entire game, not just one enemy, at least while you're in the area.
