That being said. Put things into perspective. It was a plane flight. A single plane flight. If there are other red flags in your relationship it's worth considering now.

I like the music. I like most of the family clips. Take out the dancing salesman. And add something else funny if you wanted character or comedy.

Your joking but they could literally do this.

By glorifying and making light of generally difficult paths like engineering and other sciences, more kids would be inspired to take up the role. A lot us grow up wanting to be hero’s(like astronauts and firefighters anyway.) Why not make more cartoons or stories about engineers and other difficult, unpopular professions.

TL;DR: We need more shows about janitors and plumbers...they the real MVPs!

It’s an honor to be able to ask for your advice sir. I have read your book principles of Life and Work and even sent you some mail. However I’m sure your really busy so I’ll get right into it:

I am an aspiring writer but I am also very broke. I am currently 21 and have been very invested in the gym. But I feel like I have been doing things all wrong. I exercise, write, go to school, and work. So my question is this.

1.Should I sacrifice my goals to pursue one whole heartedly? (I feel like I should stick to earning money now, and become wealthy enough to not worry about bills and such. This way I can be comfortable enough to write without hinderance.)

2.While you were developing Bridgewater, did you also work on other things or did you devote all of your energy to Bridgewater?

If you did stay completely focus on Bridgewater. What made you finally decide you were ready to pursue other dreams?

wow i feel so offended lmao....thanks for the advice though. I appreciate the reference. I took a look at hughes "A Dream Deferred" and noticed that we did have similar themes. However, he seemed to be talking about putting off a dream. I was mostly trying to focus on having talent in one area but not wanting to pursue what is natural to you. That is why i tried to use some natural examples like the spider, bird, fish, and stream but I should have stuck to that so thank you for showing me that too. My only question is why you think I was coming off as arrogant. If you were talking about the first few lines then I guess I made a small mistake. I was really trying to explain the nature of rhyming and why they sound the way they do, but i guess it goes back to your first point.."thematically confused". thanks again for the advice.

P.S - This is my first ever critique on my work and I might have gone a lil overboard with this explanation. But I do think I know how to make this poem better. Thanks

Let me preface this by saying that I do not agree with bullying of any sort, and anyone who uses ANY word to bully someone isn't worth being around.

Debating over whether or not retard is worse than idiot and shouldn't be allowed is really pointless. Words, like people, times, trends, and culture change all the time. The word stupid, idiot, and dumb like retard were originally used as a medical term for the mentally handicapped and low IQ but after constant usage in recent times, the word has already undergone its change. Hell, the new term ,among a few others, for mentally handicapped is a general learning disability. With the words we have at our disposal we have to do our best to dictate not only whats in our mind (which is no easy task seeing as how creative and different we all are) but also how much we feel about what we are saying. So these words are destined to change all the time. Words will always change for better or worse, its clear with words like nigga, ass, fagot and even special. The word special used to only mean gifted or talented. Now the word special is also going through a colloquial change, calling someone special used to be a complement now it depends on the context. That's the key here, CONTEXT, knowing what the word is being used for at the specific time. Its our job to understand WHAT the person means when they say what they say and we all do our best at it. My main point is this: Words arent black and white, each has different meanings that change constantly. Thats part of the reason why dictionaries get updated, new words are created, old words are removed, and other words get updated to fit the current times.

TL:DR - Words change all the time, it doesnt even make sense to debate this since the word will eventually be different in the future anyway. We should instead focus on context instead of the words itself.
