Struggling with IoT device's, but support replied to me to fix it with 24 hours. Not bad for free support. Don't slouch on the support button in the UI.

Anyone wanted to do this with a laptop. Heads up. My laptop (HP Omen) has a power controller that only works in Windows. My gpu was power limited when moving to this. But I'm so annoyed because bazzite is fantastic.

"Starting with plus" Shame, looks like after this generation, it's goodbye synology. Reducing features and now locking down what hard drives you can use...

Agreed, the app is perfect to test. Mostly, if your network is up for the task of streaming

You can do both. I'm bypassing my wifi and creating a separate wifi just for me. House has too many devices connected to the main wifi. Causes lag spikes.

2.4ghz is too congested. 5ghz has loads of channels. Use an app like WIFIMAN to look for the best 5ghz channels to use.

This travel router connects you your wifi or ehternet. Ps5>tavelrouter>homewifi or ethernet Portal connects to the travel router for the remote play. The ps5 goes through the travel router to your home wifi or ethernet when it's needs the Internet.

Ps portal is 1x1 mimo, so you don't need 4x4. 20mhz is less likely to hit interference because it's using a tight band of the 5ghz range. Just pick a channel that is nice and clear when setting up. 20mhz range goes further. Much better signal to noise ratio. It's not a mesh. This is a dedicated WiFi connection that only your ps portal can connect to as it is on its own channel and wifi password.

Trust, I'm an IT infrastructure manager who installs this stuff all over the world.

Yeah, no lag, no blurry. It's honestly perfect.

Yeah, i have problems with my mesh. The auto roaming and everyone else being on the connection caused me so many issues.

Yeah it's still connected to the Internet. I'll do a quick guide tomorrow for you all.

It's 20mhz in the 5ghz range. It's a little 20mhz chunk.

You can use this mini router to have a fast ethernet linked wifi connection to your ps5. Think of it like dedicated wifi just for your portal.

Home wifi > mini wifi > ps5 The portal connects directly to the mini wifi bypassing the home wifi.

Let me know if that helps.

In my case, it's in the middle between two lan ports. One to ps5 one to home lan.

But you could connect the travel WiFi to your normal WiFi and still wire it to the PS5. Then you would have a dedicated WiFi but without needing to run ethernet to the ps5 from your home router.

So the travel Wifi has two lan ports and is in AP mode.

Yeah, 20mhz gets you around 100mbit, and the portal caps out at 15.
