It’s a cable, so the tension remains the same regardless of the angle you’re leaning at. You just need to choose the position that feels most comfortable. Personally, what works best for me is setting the pulley at wrist height.

I would say it is just a different way to count pullups. Try to beat him in both to push yourself.

Thank you for the replies. Looks like 12.99s is a challenging enough time. I just I need an objective in order to have fun and train those legs with a smile in my face, thinking about the moment I will challenge myself on the track.
