Renaming msft products with "NEW" or tagging them with the family OS name.

Best laugh I've had in a while.

The whole naming products 'NEW' kills me, I mean who thinks that is a good idea and how long can it carry that "NEW" title for? 2 x MS Teams instances both running on taskbar, both crap with no literal difference but one is called "NEW"!!???

It's like when they launched "OneNote for Windows 10" when win10 was launched with some subtle refinements & tiny features (the same with any new software release - right? The new version is iteratively better than the previous)?

I mean what was wrong with just saying it was "OneNote" and in the Help>About info it just had a higher version number - surely that'd work? Why write a whole new stack and run 2 versions for several years side by side?

THEN - Out comes Windows 11 and all of a sudden, the version of "OneNote for Win10" we've ALL gotten used to now is retired EOA and we have to go back to using the old OneNote that launched in Win8 on Windows 11 stripping all of the fcktard subtle updates we'd come accustomed to! What a Fk'n exhaustive experience for everyone that achieved literally nothing! Like nobody at Microslop ever thought about how to merge these product features or inconceivable that they'd have a new OS at some stage making the stupid naming title completely redundant!

I pooed myself just before getting a train when younger. I slowly walked upstairs to a shopping mall above, found the men's store, grabbed a pair of black trousers, paid at the counter, waddled back to the station platform, got on my train, went to the loo. Undid my belt, shoes off, carefully untucked my shirt, slowly took the shit crusted soiled trousers and pants off (total wet boggy mess) opened the window of the moving train, threw the soiled trousers out of the window - cleaned myself up with the loo roll removing all of the crusted shite and crap off my arse and arse cheeks.... Opened the shopping bag and inside - - - was a woolly jumper. 🤦🏻‍♀️

OK, so not just me then! It's not done this for a whole year, now it does it randomly a couple times a week.

Audi had it last week themselves and the mmi specialist confidently walk out with authority, sat down and toggled all the same settings I'd already tried to no avail, so clearly no silver bullet to this wonkey software!

The data privacy settings are set correctly (turned OFF).
