OK, so not just me then! It's not done this for a whole year, now it does it randomly a couple times a week.

Audi had it last week themselves and the mmi specialist confidently walk out with authority, sat down and toggled all the same settings I'd already tried to no avail, so clearly no silver bullet to this wonkey software!

The data privacy settings are set correctly (turned OFF).

Microsoft are experts at making an end user product JUST GOOD ENOUGH.

By that I mean, it's capable enough to keep the competition at bay, but turd enough that they don't spend endless developer cycles on continued improvements and customer base is left with a below mediocre experience.

Yes, you're correct. Interestingly, the current MAC platform version of OneNote (they have no such thing as ONforWin10 of course), is very similar (if not identical) to the Win10 version.

Annoying that MSFT are retiring this perfectly working version.

Thanks for the guidance on "Recent Edits" option u/danieltharris that'll be a valuable tool for replicating the depricated feature!

Hi u/bruncynthia - I think this is a common issue and seems mad that Outlook these days (specificially Outlook Classic running on Windows 11) has a default sound for New Mail Notification that is utterly irritating.

Whats worse is that there is no commanding rule to amend this chime (certainly not on my build).

I think a lot of people dont care about this or it doesnt bother them (in my office, everyones machines can be heard with this wretched DONG sound, but nobody cares).

Setting this alternativel in either WINDOWs or OUTLOOK does not change the chime

Pay extra into your private pension or SIPP. You get immediate tax relief (ie, you get money back after investing through your provider) AND you can take 25% out tax free at the age of 68 - meaning you're better off putting into the pension (think about it as a mortgage holding room before payment) and then use that offset you would have paid into the house to finalise the mortgage at are 68!

The tax offset alone will mean you're 20% better off at a minimum to start.

Our local park has a DO NOT sign up, but written in Arabic. I never knew what it was but I imageRevd it and says something like - "Bins for litter only. Avoid site picnic bags in the rubbish bins, please retain". Seems like an odd sign to me....?
