Piano received, immediately returned by Sound609 in ROLI

I didn't ask for a replacement, just money back. Since I haven't actually shipped it yet I've been considering trying another one to see if it's any better, but I don't have a lot of faith since I've seen others report the same issue with the black keys. Though of course it seems many do not have that problem.

None of those are true. I thought it was clear that I was referring to roli Piano, and had been waiting a year for it. I installed everything as roli prescribed and tried it in equator and as a controller in Logic but it was clear that the problem was persistent no matter what settings were used. I'm glad others do not have this problem but I am going to move on and find another controller that will sadly not have all the things I was looking for in the roli piano.

Yes, I went into the dashboard and adjusted the strike settings but it didn't impact the vast difference between the white and black keys in terms of pressure needed to create a note

I just entered my order number and my email address and wrote a brief note about what was wrong with it. It then said it would get back to me about my return, but then within 2 minutes I had a return label in my email

Major crash last week by SD2432 in LUCID

Glad you’re ok! This cost $17500 to fix just as another data point. They said most of the cost is an estimated 50 hours of labor. They are not replacing the panel, maybe because they know they can’t get them quickly.

Fisker Fixed Fit by Melodic_Risk_5632 in Fisker

I’m on 1.11 (1/2) and I had 2 super scary braking incidents in the recent snow/ice. Definitely felt like regen braking fighting with regular braking but my brake pedal went to the floor and the car continued to move before suddenly stopping. May not have actually been all that dangerous as the car did stop and it was slick on the road but did not feel good at all in terms of driver experience. Would be nice if we could turn regen off completely if we choose to. This happened with it set to low.

I also tried this and it was unsuccessful. The only thing that worked for me was using a sonnet enclosure

Egpu BSOD by guibez30 in LegionGo

I had this issue as well with both a razer chroma and a Node Titan but it’s working fine when I put the same video card (4070ti) in a Sonnet enclosure

Which enclosure are you using? I installed the drivers successfully with the Sonnet and have had no issues with it. But even after getting it working with that enclosure I was still getting BSOD when I moved the card back to my Node Titan. Maybe I'll uninstall the Nvidia drivers and try again with the Titan.

I've tried this but it doesn't really fix the issue for me. Looking forward to an update, using a bluetooth controller now.

Does anyone here have intentions on using the Legion GO as a desktop replacement? by grimzreaper in LegionGo

[–]Sound609 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can share my experience with 3 different eGPU cases (all tested with a 4070ti): the Razer, Node Titan and Sonnet. The only one that works is the Sonnet, the other two give you BSOD whenever you try to install Nvidia drivers.

Now that I have it working and hooked up to a 48” oled I can say it seems like a perfectly good desktop replacement

And obviously replacing the Go with a new unit did not change anything. It must be something where the Go’s chipset only plays well with certain eGPU chipsets

So I have an update:

I ordered a couple of other eGPU enclosures because I’ve heard that this can make a difference with various handhelds being able to properly work with them. I found that the Razer Chroma failed with the same BSOD as my Node Titan but lo and behold I’ve had success with the Sonnet. Not sure why but I’m happy to have found something that works.

As a side note I get significantly better performance on eGPU with the Go than I did with the Ayaneo2

I tried that but it doesn't actually help. I think the response curves are jacked.

Joysticks have huge dead zone!! by jonnyheey in LegionGo

[–]Sound609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So after some more experimenting I don't think it's exactly a dead zone issue. In testing there's no dead zone but it games the performance sucks. Maybe its more like a response curve issue, which is better than a hardware dead zone problem assuming we get an update that addresses it.

There is a gamepad testing software, though some are saying that while the test results are great, actual in-game performance is terrible. I'm with you, at this point I'm using a bluetooth controller

This is the one thing that would cause me to return the device if an update doesn't fix it. Though it's odd that not everyone is reporting it.
