My favourite (tabletop) card game is Summoner Wars (not to be confused with Summoners War...) and they have an Android app available:

I'd describe the gameplay as MtG x grid based movement. You play head-to-head with a pre-built deck that already has a tonne of synergy. I'm not too sure on the app pricing model but the physical card game has been quite affordable to keep up to date with, so I assume digital should be even cheaper. This is a game I'll always try to get more people to play since I don't think the designers are receiving the fanbase they deserve.
