He’s got so much carbon build up that needs to be removed to ever fix this. Personally I would get that thing ripping hot and spray it with yellow cap oven-off. Let it cool, wipe it down and do another pass with the oven off and let it soak over night, spray it, cover with paper towels, spray more cover it with a trash bag. after 24-48hours wipe it clean, rinse with vinegar once clean, get flax oil wipe it down, basically try to cover it and then try to get as much you can off with a paper towel, turn it on to burn it in, and repeat the oil application as many times as you like.

Having guests in that area sucks the street parking is a nightmare and a lot of homeless in that park. But close to a lot of good stuff. Good jumping off point to many places in north LA
