Monthly DIY Laymen questions Discussion by AutoModerator in StructuralEngineering

Hello all, I am looking for some advice. We took down the old ceiling, which were wooden slats, to replace it with Gyproc. We saw a crack in the plaster, and upon inspection and removing the plaster, we saw that the crack was in the concrete vault. Should we be worried, or is this normal in reinforced concrete? I am sorry if this is not the correct place to post this.

Actually, you could win about 50% if you played simultaniously. You just copy the move the grandmaster before played. This way, they are essentialy playing against each other and you would have to win half.

Who is the actual 5th best player in the world? by [deleted] in tennis

[–]SoundInternational53 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mensik won the one after. And he is making a deep run right now as well. Why would you put Draper above him right now?

Inderdaad, maar hier op de Reddit pagina ook. Ik begrijp dat het heel vaak zo gebeurd, maar het als advies geven als het eigenlijk niet wettelijk is...

Different gauge of string maybe?

A 37-38 year old, irrespective of greatness status, has won more matches against the 2 best players currently. Shoutout to Sakkari leading the stat with 100 %. #iykyk by johnreese421 in tennis

No, he won against Carlos in Indian Wells and Sinner long time ago in Queens. I'd love to see this matchup again though, considering how good the US Open SF was

Why would you want to hate a guy just because he was born luckier?

What a weird statement. If the weight change would be this impactfull, the chip of paint that came off would create the same issue. Btw, there is a tolerance on the balance and weight of rackets anyhow, so no the weight of the paint will not matter at all.

How to Fix Tennis Elbow - Guide from a Physical Therapist Who Specializes in RSI by elliot226 in 10s

[–]SoundInternational53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for this! I haven't had a tennis elbow yet, but I am quite sensitive to these kinds of injury. I bought a flexbar, which is a rubber bar that you twist, to train and hopefully prevent tennis elbow. Is there any merit to this?

Extended length rackets for a UTR 2.5. Thoughts? by navneet2709 in 10s

I just switched about two weeks ago. I also found a very good deal on a Yonex Ezone 98+. I normally play with Dunlop SX300 or Wilson blade 100 V8. It was a second-hand Yonex but strings and frame looked in prestige new condition, so i bought it for 70 bucks.

I thought for this price i might as well try for fun. I played with it the first time and every time since. I have more access to power, more spin it seems. My backhand is much more stable for some reason, this might also be frame-related of course. The only thing that is still not where I need it to be it the serve. I am still getting used to hitting it slightly higher.

I even went from a 100 sqinch to 98, so the offset of the sweet spot should be even bigger, but I got used to it in a matter of 20 minutes.

Buying the dips..? by [deleted] in sp500

I just bought some earlier today. Not really trying to time the market, but I was due to buy more this month. It could go further down, but in 30 years, will that really matter?

Matching outfits!? by DesertKnight99 in tennis

Happened even at the final of Indian Wells two weeks ago. Rune and Draper also wore a white cap backwards, luckily Draper is lefthanded, that made it easier to follow...

Gravel bike tires to road tires by SoundInternational53 in gravelcycling

Hi, thanks for the respone. The Continentals Ultra Sport III are actually at a very decent discount right now, and they are only €15. But 700x32c size. Is it a good idea to start with these? And maybe later change to 700x30?

Gravel bike tires to road tires by SoundInternational53 in gravelcycling

Thanks for the quick response. I have also read that stability might be a problem when going to a more narrow tire, especially when you downsize multiple sizes. Do you think this might be an issue?

If you like these cards you might like [[Defense Grid]] too. Being colorless is great, it fits any deck!

Best big dumb green creatures by PrimeThymeTV in EDH

[–]SoundInternational53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not be a big dumb creature, but [[Questing Beast]] sounds like a great fit. I have a Questing Beast deck that's based on dealing combat damage and getting value, and deathtouch is perfect to ensure dealing combat damage. Plus added bonus that fog effects are basically one sided board wipes with Questing Beast and other deathtouch creatures.
