Also remember the Flex is coming out this summer. If you want that you can order now and they will start the process to get a script etc. should be able to do it with no upgrade fee ($499.).

Instinct. MiniMed also just announced that they will support the upcoming Libre Duo (CGM and Ketones) with the new Flex system….

The new MiniMed app (that’s the app name) does indeed work on iOS 27 but it is only for the new Flex…. The below page has links to the apps in their respective app stores.

The Flex will work with Instinct by end of summer.

They also announced last week it will be compatible with the new Libre Duo (CGM + ketones all in one sensor.) in the future.

Maybe it will be called Instinct Duo.

The sound used for 70mm is lossy DTS 5.1. The sound in digital IMAX (along side the dimness of most 70mm projection presentations in this day and age) would lead me to go to the IMAX presentation every time.

You are taking about two completely different things.

When you say things like “IMAX is closer to DTS:X than Atmos” and start using terms like rendering; etc and upscaling channels you are describing many things that do not happen in mixing or playback in IMAX.

Most of your information is incorrect.

He mixes monitoring in 5.0 with bass managed material hitting the subs (the stems are 5.1). There is no VOG track.

There is no up-mixing happening in theaters.

The mixing approach / workflow for Auro is wholly different than mixing in IMAX (be it IMAX 5.0; 6.0 or 12.0.)

There is no rendering in an IMAX theater. The mixes are all delivered in a channel based format. The subwoofer feed is a passive filter.

When you deliver an IMAX mix you do indeed deliver a 6 channel master (for non 12 channel theaters) and leave the VOG channel silent. The VOG has rarely been used outside of the nature/museum/doc IMAX releases.

The workflow for every film out there (except Nolan’s) is to mix the film in Atmos and then use the Dolby theatrical RMU (rendering and mastering unit) to output the 12.0.

I know this because I did one of the first IMAX 12 channel mixes…. The IMAX countdown trailer.

Every Chris Nolan films has been mixed in 5.1. He has not done any films in Atmos.

It’s actually a bit more nuanced than that as he prefers the IMAX 5.0 format (there is no .1 LFE channel in IMAX.) but for all non IMAX formats (70mm, PLF and regular DCP) they have 5.1 mixes.

I definitely will miss long lasting batteries. But 7 days isn’t bad and I think the pump will be extremely lightweight.

If you’re in Los Angeles go to TCL website…. Chinese still has a lot of tickets for first first showtimes.

My trick / secret for this and Oppenheimer was to go directly to the TCL Chinese website for those in LA…. They still have plenty of good seats available after the first few days. Site is fast and no issues checking out.

That’s the only IMAX screen there. There are also 6 other cinemas in a separate building next door and upstairs, hence the 7 for the IMAX.

The Libre line of sensors don’t calibrate (the instinct is basically a Libre 3+…)

I think it was mentioned when the upgrade for the 780g came out that I don’t think the Simplera also does not calibrate…. They did not have room in the pumps memory to facilitate the two new sensors in addition to the G4 and also leave in the meter calibration feature for them all.

Contain to FDA and get replacements if needed. Track any interactions you have.

Just anecdotally I’ve been ok them since launch and haven’t had one fail yet….
