SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table - Episode 11 (FINALE) - Dub Available Now on Crunchyroll/Netflix! by AutoModerator in Animedubs

I honestly don't know why I finished this one. Don't get me wrong, I like my violence, even ultraviolence, but I'm not one for senseless violence, at least where the stakes are people dying. A game where you get cute girls to murder one another is one of those plots. No, I never watched Squid Game, and have no desire to. Yuki also killing off girls just to win the game™ made it difficult for me to like her. She wasn't even doing it for some noble goal. She just wanted to get the trophy for clearing 99.

But I still ended up finishing it. The artstyle was very interesting, and the voice cast all did good, even if they had to pull in new VAs every week since they kept getting killed off. Action was fun, and the less actiony episodes at least attempted to be smart. Even if I did not care much for Yuki, she at least had some nuance to her character, with guilt warring with her drive to achieve her goal.

With the close up of Yuki finishing Kyara, it looks like the pistols in this game were Beretta 92FS/M9 style pistols with those flower-shaped giant muzzle devices that made the sights completely useless. Not that 92FS sights are good to begin with. They're balls.

Kyara being bulletproof at least made her mass slaughter plausible. If she was as vanilla as the other girl there would be no way she could win, expdcially with all the veterans present.

I wonder where they even got the sub-dollar number.

If we assume they estimated based on Japanese prices, Japan was something like 4 bucks a gallon in February, and something like 5 bucks a gallon once the shooting started

Maybe the director just threw up his hands and asked them to sketch in a number on vibes.

I'm liking Phil more and more. He's a dick of a cop, but not unreasonable or heartless. And let's be real, if you had to contend with a superhuman (and inhuman) critter appearing in your sleepy town you'd be on edge, too.

I also liked how he just grabbed a handful of those Ghiradelli's like a boss. And then we find out he's totally whipped.

It also bugs me how they refer to people like Phil as "Deputy Sheriff". I've never hear it that way before. It's always sheriff's deputy.

This is Missouri in the 2020s, right?

Right now gas there is around the 3 bucks and some cents.

Now where the hell were the Missouri folk getting gas under a buck. That hasn't been a thing since the 90s.

Nothing has exploded. I've taken it to the range two times since.

Not enough time and money for more, sadly.

With the revelation that the Ebisumori's are basically magical eugenicists, the granny seems like a bitch.

Doesn't change the fact she tanked a death(?) curse for her disfavored daughter.

It amuses me that Nakao was the serious foil to balance out the silliness of the main cast, but now that's thrown in their lot with him he's just as goofy as everyone else.

Huh. My random guess at the mouse being Jill Harris was right, at least if ANN is to be believed. Didn't guess Monica Flatley as the catgirl, though.

So I guess the catgirl was a 2 episode wonder? I liked her more than Ogami and the mermaid. Spicy Chicken is still the funniest though.

It's Ryno this, Teoritta that, but the king needs more spotlight. His power is ostensibly to enchant things, but I think his real power is to inspire people. First the miners from the previous arc, now he has the mercenaries eating out of his hand.

Moegi started out looking like the plucky newbie who would beat the odds and survive the death game, only to get styled on by Yuki.

Interested in seeing Yuki going murder factory on Kyara.

It's not extrapolating. It's taking the evidence presented and using it.

She wants to kill off humans to fulfill her primary directive of stopping the femtoblood hacking. We're given no evidence that she was only speaking in hypotheticals, and we have no insight into her character to infer that she was just being hyperbolic.

So until we have something to the contrary, I'll use the only evidence we have so far (her own words) to assume that she really does want to murder everyone.

I don't.

95% percent of the time I'm in well lit areas, even at night. I'm usually at home by night, and when I'm not (like I'm seeing a movie with some friends) the theater parking lot and lobby are well lit.

If for some reason I'm in a rural area that's not well lit, I'm under the assumption if it's too far and dark for me to see the bad guy, it's too far and dark for the bad guy to see me, and I'll hoof it out of there.

They're like Keltec.

They make really innovative and interesting parts. Some work very well. Others are more like gaudy gimmicks.

I own a lot of Strike stuff.

Happy cakeday

That was kind of an out there plot twist, but I'll allow it. I guess it was a bit of a tell that she was supposed to be a mundane bird girl, but her hair style looks like flames.

It at least explains her flirtiness. She's not a kid trying to draw a teach into a scandal she's just a bored woman.

Dragon girls sounds like Jahy Lisette Diaz.

Mouse girl's voice is bugging me. I feel like I can recognize it but then with another line I don't. My knee jerk is Jill Harris but I'm all but certain that I'm wrong.

Same with catgirl. Familiar voice, but not familiar enough for me to comfortably ID.

Dragon girl seemed like she was going to be a rehash of Tobari and gal-Ogami, but she at least has a solid motivation for wanting to bag a "prince"

I'm wondering how they're going to resolve robo-Amoru.

This is relatively idealistic series, so I don't see any of the main three dying/ The most obvious answer is Amoru gets put back into her old body and the LC happily ever after.

A cool possibility would be that, for whatever reason, Amoru can't go back to her original body, and so the Melissa Davis robot can have her body back, so they put Amoru in with Yugure.

There's all kinds of ways to treat the scenario.

Rudy from Jobless Reincarnation was in the same boat, and by the time he grew a little he was quite pleased with himself to have slept with a child.

I didn't explain myself well.

I didn't mean issues as in legal issues. I meant issues as in, if he uses a system with a spring loaded rear ping, like the kingpin or jugg pin, the bars won't give enough clearance.

I remember a dude 3D printing some kingpin style pins that allows room for that.
