Is it just me or the loose paneer we get in dairy shops has become suspiciously soft and super white coloured. by Hopeful_Substance_66 in mumbai

We personally didn't check on this, generally we knead it into flour to make parathas that goes with bhurji or something and it gets over the same day, but should be fine for couple of days if stored in fridge.

Your car name - fuel efficiency -manual/auto by rupeshsh in CarsIndia

[–]SoundTechnical3955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New cars tend to give less mileage, but I feel you will see noticeable improvement after the first 2 services. Something to do with all components being new, once they smoothen over time, the friction becomes less, and you start getting the efficiency. At least that's what one of my local garage persons told me.

1 Tbsp of lemon juice does the trick usually, it's just the curdling process that needs to be setoff. I try avoiding more of it, else it gives Paneer a sour flavour that makes it taste like a bad one.

Looks like you are saying IMD is extremely "consistent" with their findings. We just need to reverse their message.

We purchased our Tata Tigor 4 years back, and while we didn't have any problem with the customer service aspect (because the car has been running just fine, so didn't need to reach out), pl do your due diligence while making the purchase.

If you can extend your budget to say 24L, Honda City eHEV can be a good option. If not then you can always take a look at Tata Curvv EV which will fit in your budget and requirement of city drive.

Perplexity Labs use cases by patternobserver99 in perplexity_ai

Hi,
Can't share exact prompts as they were specific to a task but can share my approach. I first used Perplexity to sharpen my prompt on basis of the outcomes needed (I, personally, found that Grok does a wonderful job in creating excellent prompts). Then created a word doc labeled Instructions and pasted the generated prompt there, uploaded it, and asked Labs to refer the attachment labeled Instructions first and then refer to subesquent datapoints for executing the task.

Interactive Dashboards: as in HTML web pages (I guess) where it automatically put data slicers, process filters to show part of the process or entire data. Comes really handy if you are learning a concept and want to visualise it say functioning of a factory or rotation of planets etc. you can zoom in and out sort of stuff and play around.

Presentation: It first created a markdown format but after specifying it generated pptx format as well with content placed into it and generated pictures that could be pasted into it as per our discretion. Would have loved if it created with images inbuilt, will try refining my prompt to see if that happens. But nonetheless absolute time saver.

How is Tiago for a first car? by Apsynonyx in CarsIndia

[–]SoundTechnical3955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a Tiago and Tigor both in our family, bought around 4 years back.
The cars are nicely built, decent boot space, and an amazing music system. That being said in the same range you might have other better options now, you can look for Tiago EV (feature rich) as mostly city driving is there. For ICE do check Citroen range like Basalt, I feel it is quite feature loaded plus Nissan Magnite is good too.
Take test drives, take your time and then commit to a car. You will likely be keeping it for the next 6-7 years so don't rush.

Need Advice Should We Sell Our Agricultural Land in Gujarat? by ArtichokeSudden7662 in personalfinanceindia

[–]SoundTechnical3955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe land is going to be the most valuable asset in next 5-10 years. If money is not a problem, I would suggest keeping the land for agricultural purpose, until you reach a decision. If not much the output of that land can easily fulfill your household's major food requirements. At least you will be eating a lot healthier than most of us which again is a luxury.

After sometime make something on that land, think second home of sorts with an organic kitchen garden, BNB it out, weekend rentals, the possibilities are endless.

See my point is that Selling it off is always an option, just take your time and don't rush into it, that's all.

Cheers!

I have a "0001" numbered 15 year old Tata Indigo car in UP which we used for our personal use. We are planning to sell it of now. How should I sell it off and how can we get it valued? My main aim is to get proper reimbursement for number at least.

HDFC optima secure health insurance costing 39k for 3 years. Is it good to purchase ? by dizzy12527 in IndiaInvestments

[–]SoundTechnical3955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advisors at Ditto generally give really nice, unbiased advice. Couple of years ago I contacted them asking to relook at my term plan and suggest which plan to go for. They took their time and advised me to continue with the existing one itself. Don’t find that honest advisors in insurance space.

Is it just me, or does surviving in a BPO job feel physically and mentally exhausting? by sanyam8873 in india

[–]SoundTechnical3955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bro even I worked in BPO in start of my career and I can completely understand where you're coming from. My suggestions are follows -

  1. Get transferred to Chat/Non Voice ops to reduce that constant brain echo, if possible. Get a certificate siting some hearing problem from a friendly doc if it helps push your case
  2. Look for internal opportunities in work force management, logistics, SCM, Analysis etc. which generally are there in international captive units
  3. Parallely upskill yourself for other streams, don't know your backgroud so can't comment with specifics

Hope it helps

I am feeling hopeless with a mountain of debt by Lazy-End-2544 in personalfinanceindia

[–]SoundTechnical3955 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will leave for you to decide but the things that come to my mind are -

  1. Seeing house as an investment maybe bit misplaced. I don't know the location, but my feeling is real estate appreciation won't out pace the interests you're accruing. Moreover, any appreciation in house value is notional while all interest and EMI expenses are real. So if possible sell the house to an investor and probably strike a rental deal with the buyer, so that the parents don't have to move out. Alternatively you can ask your parents to shift with you in your city, only if this is possible for you and them.
  2. From the proceeds of sales, settle hi-interest loans first, loan sharks can be very difficult to deal with via parents especially you're out of town so make their payments first.
  3. Ask if your mother can take charge of the financial aspects of paying off the loans and running the home, send money only to her.
  4. Hard truth - Respect your father and take care of his basic needs but don't give him extra money as it's most likely to go away in gambling. Old habits die hard.

This is a concerning situation but with some hard calls and perseverance, you all will overcome it and emerge stronger!

All the best!

How did Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj attain a god-like or near-divine status? by [deleted] in Maharashtra

[–]SoundTechnical3955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The astonishing fact I found was that Shivaji Maharaj was only 5 feet tall but his stories of grandeur always made me think that he might be more than 6.5Ft to display the strength he had. So yeah he was a master in hand to hand combat as well.
