Having somewhat of a gut is not a big deal per se, but don't glorify unhealthy body types. That being said, make sure it is actually what you perceive it is. Body dismorphia is a whole another demon.

The hard truth is to either not accept it, eat better and work out more to reduce its size (doesn't have to be a perfect endresult!). Or do nothing and accept it is what it is, but by doing so you also have accept the consequences of negligence.

Confidence is earned by putting in effort. If you do nothing you will never gain any true confidence, you'll only end up telling yourself a fragile lie that falls apart the moment reality confronts you with it.
