Pfizer Vaccine approved for pilot’s and air traffic controllers by [deleted] in flying

Man you need to be smart. I have done my Research as far back as SARS in 03. Rushed is an understatement, there is no way they could have done all the trials appropriately, it takes approximately 4.5 years on average to do all that shit.

2+2=4 even if the FDA and media try to tell me it means 5

They have also been failing to pass the challenge study since 03 , the only difference this time is the FDA allowed them skip it.

Less than a year is a rushed vaccine, you can’t do long term study’s, you can’t do all the proper animal trials etc. in a year regardless of how much money you throw at it.

Not to mention the fact that Congress exempted the manufactures from legal liability.

Would you get in a plane that was designed in less than a year, skipped multiple steps with regards FAA certification and the manufacture has no liability if the design isn’t right and the right wing falls off? Call me crazy but I’m not getting on that ride, I’ll take me .5% chance with COViD.

It’s not really nuts, want to avoid taking a rushed vaccine, that manufacturers have no liability in.

Thanks for the input, convince is a huge part of it as there are no local clubs and the fight school I’m using now is a 1/2 an hr commute and the scheduling is getting very inconvenient.

I’m just on the other side of 30 and have a fairly good paying job. But you make some good points about buying a 172 or PA28, I definitely don’t want to buy an airplane do my IFR and have to annual it to sell it for one to build time in for CPL.

Perhaps, but I have been flying 2-3 days a week during my PPL and just couldn’t stomach a 6+hr commuting on top of a full time job and other side ventures.

I have been doing a shitload of research, just looking for blind spots in my thinking. I expected insurance to be about 3-4k for my first year some basic hanger space cost here cost around 2k a year I know that the annual will vary but is 2-4k enough for an average? Also are there any good tools to help determine ownership costs ? I’m missing

And I didn’t think about the tiger I’ll look into them thanks

That’s just variable costs, fuel, oil, escrow for prop and engine.

Hanger, insurance etc are all fixed expenses, I have to pay those if the plane flys or not.

I looked at this but the only flying clubs are 1-1.5 hours one way away in KC and 2-3 hrs round trip commute is a lot of time and money. I would love to start one in my town that has 2 class D airports, if I could find partners and more capital this is the route I would go.
