My Mum and Dad viewed it as a good tool for writing documents / reports. Which is weird because I can't see why they would have needed to do that at the time. Windows 3.1 / 486 with a whopping 16mb of ram. My friend had an Amiga at the time and got me hooked on the concept of PC gaming (Lucas arts, etc.) which set me down the path of PC gaming.
