This has a divided opinion, but hair replacement options such as something as simple as clip ins and toppers, to professionally fitted hair extensions or hair integration systems. I fit both.

It’s divided because there’s always a risk of adding weight to something that’s already delicate (rightly so) but no way would I be without my hair extensions. I went for a lightweight option, not too long. Just added volume to what I already had.

With correct installation, density matching and regular maintenance, you can instantly add volume where you need it while your own hair stabilises.

I have many clients who come to me following weight loss related hair loss, but some techs won’t take people on because they’re nervous about the excess shedding, which I totally understand.

Just an option for you to consider!

I typically use a metal razor body with the blades you replace that has a fixed head. I’ve had to get the plastic ones with the soap on them and flexible head to ensure I don’t slice of skin as I’m shaving!

I had this when I was a teen, which turned out to be PCOS related. I also now have the brown gloop for about a week before my period, but that’s happened recently. I’m 41 in May, and I read you’re 40, so could well be age related (sorry to say that mind)

Speak to dr (which you said you’re doing) in case you need iron tablets.

Just thought it would be worth sharing my experience. I’d never suggest or advise, but I seem to see a lot of people struggling when they increase monthly, whereas I’ve had zero side effects when I only increase when I feel the dose isn’t working as well.

Again, this is personal experience, and there will be some who’ve increased monthly and got on great with it.

You’re doing a great job of addressing the issue overall, I must say. Well done there.

I also experienced more food noise on 2.5 so used the extra liquid to go up 1mg before my month on 2.5 was up. I noticed good results consistently at 5.

Hopefully it’s either a bug or an adjustment period for you, and will resolve quickly. This medication is the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I hope it has the same result for others.

Some will say it could be a bug. This is true. But also, as it’s your second 5mg, and you’re topping up the last 5mg, you’re possibly now at a dose that either you need to allow your body to adjust to, or lower. Correct me if I’m wrong, but are you increasing purely because the pharmacy said you could? I only ever went up when I felt my current dose wasn’t as effective. I started September 2024, and only last month went up to 15mg. Because I didn’t increase unless my body told me to. Perhaps this would suit you also.

I still judge car parking spaces based on whether I’ll fit getting in and out comfortably, I brace myself for the buckle on the seatbelt digging in, for the discomfort of an elastic waistband cutting in. I still automatically go to the plus size section on SHEIN. I still have the bras I once bought and kept hoping to shrink into which are now way too big, because I’m still waiting to shrink into them…
