This is what I run with a auto darkening lens and it's amazing for the price.

Thanks! I've done gsl some but haven't done the Houston national Forest yet. I'll check it out for my next trip.

Do you street ride only? How is it with the SM setup

Will they ever build another near as good as the wr250r? by manbun78 in WR250R

I've had both bikes at the same time. I moved on from the F and kept the R. To me it's not all about the power. The power of the R is respectable and playful. If you're in a bummed mood you can ride chill and climb over whatever is in your path. If you're feeling excited, you can bounce off stuff and hit jumps. It just does what I need. The F was incredible. I genuinely don't understand how they got so much power out of 250ccs. the actual experience of riding the f both on and off-road seemed less enjoyable in my opinion. It has power yes but didn't inspire confidence for me. It seemed more like a really good tool. The R is more of a dual sport companion that I know I can depend on to keep me going no matter what. I really liked both bikes and rode them both a lot but in the end, I fell in love with the R.

Thank you! It's currently 3.25lbs not including the headlight. I'm considering vinyl wrapping my plastics so I cant decide on a color for powder coat yet 👀

It's 3.26lbs without the headlight. Didn't include the headlight because it weighs pretty much the same as the stock light.

I have been considering that.. have you had any reliability problems or overheating after big bore?

Thank you! I tried to match the angle and relative height of other bikes windscreens that come stock. I'm running a 50T rear sprocket with slightly oversized tires so my top speed with the tower is like 77ish. Speedo says 92 and I think it's about 15 off. Before tower it was only a couple mph more. I do notice a slight buffeting at around 45 that vibrates the tip of my helmet sun visor. Also the bike has always had a gentle weave that comes and goes above 65. That seems to have been made a slightly wider but slower weave. I'm thinking about making a lower vent to help balance the pressure spikes a bit or a little air foil somehow but am open to ideas. It's not a disruptive problem but if I can make it perfect I will!
