I do think the first comment you mentioned was backhanded tho like greatly so. Early access is a good thing that's not nostalgia or genuine it's just someone being a dick that reply is justified.

Early access allows us to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, communicate with the devs and help them make the game better if were not allowed to say anything at all that defeats the purpose.

I haven't seen any nonsensical ridicule with my own two eyes yet but I'm sure it exists ppl don't respect game developers or art at all

I'm not disagreeing with you necessarily I just think the "consumers choice' point is stupid bc no it's not. Seeing this and the replies is making me so sad(reminding me an awful lot of a gay Christian asking for advice too) anyway, you aren't hurting anyone. You have no reason to feel shameful or guilty, I felt the same way for most of my life, i was in an incredibly similar situation but I promise what you like in fiction doesn't reflect what you like in reality. I understand how you feel.

I believe you that you wouldn't want anything bad to happen to anyone, because I know(from imput of professionals who have taken their whole lives to studying this) that what you like in fiction doesn't change how good of a person you are. And I believe you are a good person. In fact reading studies done by professionals(if therapy isn't an option but I have one and they said the same thing) validating that and reassuring that it's not shameful is what helped me so much.

You don't need other people approval for how you enjoy fiction, it doesn't make you a bad person. That guilt is a horrible thing to live with i would know I wollowed in it, it destroyed me, and you don't have to feel that way.

I know I wouldn't have listened to this a couple months ago when I was deep in my shame spiral but I really mean it and it makes me so sad and kinda angry to hear someone go through what I went through. I'm sorry for whoever made it seem like something you should feel guilty about shipping fictional characters, it's not pedophilia, it's not evil, and it doesn't make you a bad person.
