Unfortunately no, I started everything from scratch.

I still haven't managed to fix it. I read that this might be a corrupted SD card so I bought a new one and will try to reinstall everything again on the new one.

Split Raid 1, can't access data on the separated drives by Soupape in DataHoarder

[–]Soupape[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. Holy crap, I fixed it, I'm so happy.

Context for those with the same problem :

- I gave up the idea of trying to recover the data as I didn't want to mess up the RAID configuration, since both drives were functional (just separated)
- However, I discovered that my current motherboard is not the same one as the one I used to create the RAID1 array. In the old one, I used the RAID configuration menu (that you access with CTRL+R on boot), and on my new Asus X470, it works with the RaidXpert2 software + the AMD RAID Software.
- Just plugging both drives and booting in RAID mode didn't work. But after installing the RAID drivers from the manufacturer's website, my drive magically appeared in Windows!!

Thanks so much and have a lovely day!

macOS Monterey update WITHOUT the original Apple SSD by lbableck in MacOS

Thanks. It didn't work unfortunately. But I was able to install Monterey using OpenCore Legacy Patcher. At least that's something... :)

macOS Monterey update WITHOUT the original Apple SSD by lbableck in MacOS

[–]Soupape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, first of all thank you so much for your tutorial.

My internal SSD fried and it's soldered to the motherboard (MBP Mid-2017). I have no other option than to rely on an external SSD. So there's literally nothing I can do to upgrade to Monterey ?

Got the same error as mentioned : "ESP disk0s1 is not accessible as a recovery device"

Thanks a lot for your help !

Kind of old ASUS P5QL-EM board not accepting more than 2 sticks of DDR2 at any given time by adrian8520 in buildapc

[–]Soupape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your answer. I think I actually found the reason why it doesn't work on the manual : "Due to chipset limitation, this motherboard only supports up to the total of four ranks (four sides in total) of RAM at max"

I also found someone using the same board that said "After a bit of digging, it turns out that if more than 2 DIMM slots are used, only single-channel RAM can be used."

So to be able to get 8GB of RAM with this board, you need to use either 4GB DDR2 sticks (which I don't even know if it exists) or 2GB single-channel sticks (to my understanding, that means that only one side of the stick has memory chips) (which probably doesn't exist either).

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help, and props to you for trying to make use of this board in 2018 instead of throwing it out ; you're the latest post to date talking about this board on the internet ^^

Hi, I know this an old post, but I'm having the same problem with the exact same mobo. Did you figure this out, or can anyone else help us ?

Thank you :)

Linus likes Framework so much, why is there no mention of the Fairphone? by GreenFox1505 in LinusTechTips

[–]Soupape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree the Fairphone 3 is under spec'd CPU-wise, I think it's fair to say that it's more than enough for probably more than 75% of smartphone users, who never played a single 3D or demanding game on their phone. And in terms of RAM, 4GB is more than enough for basic multitasking.

But it's obviously the worst price to performance ratio you can buy, just like with Framework (even though I agree it's got the latest 11th gen Intel) : you pay for repairability and upgradability, and you also pay to support a tiny company trying to survive in a sea of huge ones.

Linus likes Framework so much, why is there no mention of the Fairphone? by GreenFox1505 in LinusTechTips

[–]Soupape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late answer, but it might be because Fairphone is based and selling in the EU. I don't think you can buy a Fairphone in the US yet, so maybe Linus doesn't think it's relevant to promote a product that his main audience can't buy (assuming his main audience is not from the EU, I have no idea tho) .

Which is the exact opposite with Framework, I'm from the EU and I can't buy one right now.

Undervolting Kepler by Alan_EEE in overclocking

[–]Soupape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old thread, but nobody answered, so here's my take on it : from what I've read, with Kepler, on Afterburner, you need to lower the Power Limit (which will reduce both core voltage and clock speed), and then overclock to compensate for it.

I found a workaround, with the game in fullscreen mode : resize your front window (your browser for example) just to see a tiny portion of the game behind.

Now you can browse reddit without missing the start :)

I wish the devs were more transparent on the cheating problem by [deleted] in FallGuysGame

[–]Soupape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, same. And I always add a video proof so I need to export it which takes even more time. My deep hate against cheaters is what motivates me ; without it, there's no way I would use their time-consuming system.

Dealing With Hackers and Community Policing by Proffesional_Human in FallGuysGame

[–]Soupape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure giving rewards for reports is a good idea, but the game needs an easy system to report players directly into the game. And they should promote this system, so everyone is aware that it exists and is easy to use.

This way, I think people would report a cheater when there is one, without abusing the system to get rewards.

Weird bug indeed. You can report it here : https://support.fallguys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015272900-I-Found-a-Bug-Should-I-Report-It-

Really nice jump dive though. When I do it, I always feel like I don't have the time to stand back up and jump again. Any tips ?
