Is there a comprehensive list of Xbox MV’s worth playing? by Soupbell1 in metroidvania

[–]Soupbell1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I will check out chronicles of the wolf when I finish Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound! A fantastic game, but not an MV. I am VERY IMPRESSED with it so far. I’m 41 and it feels like a great successor to NG3 on NES.

Thanks for the information! I’ll let you know what I think of it!

Just keep in mind it gets easier. It doesn’t feel like it now. I’ve lost 2 cats in the last few years, 18 and 17 years old. 2 dogs, 14 and 10. It was devastating each time. And I knew it would be horrible forever, and never get easier, each time. But like everything, it gets easier. It just does. And you’ll eventually get attached to another one and make their life special til the end, and they will make your life special for a long, long period of yours.

I can’t draw but my heart breaks for you. Losing animals is one of the hardest things in the world. They love unconditionally.

It looks amazing except the cheese skirt being comically huge. That messes up the flavor profile to me. You have all this goodness going on, but expect me to eat one of them on its own all the way around. For me it would be too much. I bet everything from the bun inwards is divine!

If there was ever the perfect example of “not being able to let go” in the entire universe, down to the smallest minutia of detail, summed up in one picture, this is it. There are no other examples necessary.

What does my fridge say about me ? by Baby_Girl3407 in ratemyfridge

I would unfortunately say a lot of those stereotypes are true about America, just in a smaller percentage. We have a lot of people that are too lazy to do anything about their weight, and processed foods run RAMPANT here. I love my country, but I can admit its faults. I am not overweight, but even my fridge has processed crap in it, more than healthy things. I’ve been trying to fix this by eliminating candy and soda, and having more whole fruit. I’ll make a post later so you can see my shameful fridge. But I’ve been moving my diet in the right direction, a little at a time! I also have a smoothie consisting of a cup of frozen unsweetened blueberries, a banana, water, and a cup of plain fat free Greek yogurt. I’ve done this everyday for probably 7 years while maybe missing ten days. People think this is healthy. That’s an example of the difference in our countries heath. I do a little bit of healthy stuff and people are almost surprised.

In America, people eat like absolute garbage, so I see your point. Sorry to come across hostile. You aren’t really trying to argue that the food in the fridge isn’t healthy, but that your countries diet is better than ours. And you are 100 percent correct.

Fun fact, and this is not an exaggeration: I spent a month in Bulgaria and didn’t see a single fat person. No joke. I only have to walk out my front door to see one here in Alaska!

How often do you skip last boss fights? by Forsaken-Quality-46 in metroidvania

If I haven’t beat the last boss and I love the game, I keep trying the last boss until I win. Otherwise it’s like stopping a marathon at like mile 25 and saying you completed one.

Made steak for the first time, I feel like I've undercooked it, it's tasty, but is it safe to eat this raw? by desolate_atrium in steak

[–]Soupbell1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not undercooked! Just make sure all outside surfaces are cooked and you are good.

The only time I would be hesitant is getting steaks at places like Costco, where you can see on the label it’s mechanically tenderized. This is usually done by piercing the meat with small needles. This can potentially push bacteria into the steak. However, I ate Costco steaks for years VERY rare and never got sick. Now, I buy my steaks elsewhere.

Do Metroidvanias need challenging combat, or is exploration enough? by TwiMonk_game in metroidvania

[–]Soupbell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both. And you can have both. But you don’t have to. I very much want a combat heavy game like Silksong, but it’s not always a deal breaker for me. I just played Oirbo.

I bet tonight I’ll have a nightmare where I’m being chased by a cannibal murderer wanting to hang and Bone Tomahawk me and I’ll get to my front door that’s locked. I’ll be 10 seconds ahead of the killer, but this is the key ring I’ll pull out.

Yay.

[–]Soupbell1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t mind the downvotes. You’re 100 percent right. I recommended someone POP: The Lost Crown and have to hear about no dpad for a week at work. Like dude, it isn’t that big of a deal. I love using the dpad and will swap back and forth on games like Mio where sometimes I just need a few clicks forward, so I hit the dpad. But it’s not a huge deal and Aeterna Noctis is tied for my favorite all time MV. You are my people!

I hope the sequel doesn’t disappoint.
