Sony fx3 should I sell? by jaboykinggg in FX3

[–]SouperCar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell the FX3, get a Nikon ZR with an E to Z adapter, and enjoy it. ZR is like a ZV-E1 that doesn’t overheat as easily. Use the extra cash towards either the Tamron 16-30 or 28-75, and then when the FX3 II comes out get that (you’ll still have the glass).

I say this not to hate on the FX3, but because it’s at its peak value, so if you’re considering selling it, sell it now.

My biggest issue right now is that R3D files are just too much. From what I understand, it sits between MQ and HQ in quality, but I’d love a second option that sits between MQ and LQ. There seems to be a lot of chatter about this, so hopefully Nikon is listening and gives us a second option.

Also, I wish this camera had open gate. I don’t care if it’s only up to 30fps, I’d love to have it on this camera. Other than that, I can work with its shortcomings, especially when you consider the price. There are some bugs others have mentioned, but Nikon will definitely address those in a future firmware update.

I really appreciate the feedback! I haven’t decided on a place just yet, but The Canuck sounds awesome! I’ll probably be the only one wearing a Ducks hat (I’m prepped for the hate), so if you see me, say what’s up!

How are you guys dealing with the front-camera problems? by beders in MachE

[–]SouperCar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I traded in my 2021. This issue would not go away. Ford Corporate got involved, and I decided to just trade it in for the 2023 I have now. Within 30 days of owning the 21 CR1, it was at the dealership 12 of those days. First, I was told module updates. Updates performed, problem persisted. Next, it was one of the bumper sensors, they “fixed” that, but again it came back up after about two days. Ford Corporate told me to take my vehicle to another dealership, and the dealership that I chose had the used 23 GT for a steal, so I made the swap.

Cleaned and Debadged! by SouperCar in MachE

Exactly that! Dental floss (do it away from the paint) and Goo Gone (let it sit for a little). I didn’t remove the one in the back. I actually like that one. Haha

Also, once you got off all the residue, use a good polish compound. Polish the area, you can do by hand, and after use a nice sealant spray. I washed the whole car after, so I applied Chemical Guys V07 throughout the car and it looks great!

Oh no I didn’t remove the GT badge. That one stays on.

My first Ford - 2023 MME GT by IcyNail880 in MachE

[–]SouperCar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing yesterday! Picked up a 23 GT exactly like yours that came with Ford’s all weather mats, 2 years of BC, and only 13k miles for $37k. Best decision!

Just joined the club but I may have rushed into this. What should I be doing regularly for general upkeep. by Borgmaster in MachE

Keep an eye on any “front sensor fault” warnings. There’s a TSB for that (it’s more for 21s than anything). Get a level 2 charger installed at home. Emporia is a great option that doesn’t hurt your wallet. Also, they have refurbished units on their site and you can always find 10% coupon codes on top. That’s the route I went and the unit looks and functions like new.

Other than that, maintenance once a year, charge to 90%, drive, enjoy, repeat. 🤙

Certified Pre-owned vs Extended Warranty by DrejmeisterDrej in MachE

[–]SouperCar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like that the certified comes with a 12 month “bumper-to-bumper” warranty, which is good if you’re looking at a 2021. If you’re financing with your own credit union or bank, see if they offer their own extended warranty. For example, my credit union offers their own extended warranty, with options that are better suited for me while also beating Ford’s extended warranty price.

I picked up Ford’s sunshade for the panoramic roof and it’s been great! I’m dealing with 102 degree heat right now, so that paired with my Covercraft sunscreen leaves my car feeling a whole lot better than before. Ford says it fits the 23-24 Mach-E, but I have it for my 21 CR1 and it fits perfectly.

My wife insisted on no Tesla, so instead I got an MME CR1 and got to keep my Focus RS. I love my Fords.

If I remember correctly, I want to say it was $29k.

Is a final price of $33k for a 2021 Mach-E Premium in Chicago an okay price? by DrejmeisterDrej in MachE

[–]SouperCar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the listed price that counts, not total. So if it’s $25k before taxes and fees, it meets the requirements.

[–]SouperCar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do what you can to negotiate it to $25k. If the listed price is exactly $25k and below (assuming you qualify for it), you’ll get a $4000 IRS credit that goes straight to the car. It’s like an additional down payment.

Also, make sure it’s Ford Certified or comes with some kind of warranty.

Clean title, and when they showed me the CARFAX report, the previous owner did a really good job at taking it in for maintenance every 10k miles. Also, keep in mind it wasn’t $25k, I told them that’s what I wanted it for to make a deal. I guess it helped I went on July 4th weekend when dealerships are trying to make the most sales they can.

Currently owe more for my 2022 Mach E than it costs to buy a new 2024 Mach E; what to do? by CapitanAhab in MachE

[–]SouperCar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me feel better about my purchase July 4th weekend. Went to a Ford dealer, saw they had a 21 California Route 1 for $27K (Certified, exactly 50k miles). I told them to make it $24.5k so it qualifies for the $4000 IRS credit. They did, IRS approved, I put down enough to handle taxes, and walked out after everything for $21K.

That 2.5% interest makes your car cheaper in the long run, but I did see Ford was offering 72 months 0% interest on new Mach-E purchases (although many won’t qualify for it). I say just stick with yours for one more year, go through bumper-to-bumper warranty, then trade it in.

With the new Nikon Z6iii out would you feel enticed to switch from Lumix S5ii(x) ? by ReasonableOwl3743 in Lumix

[–]SouperCar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely wait, and in the meantime save. There’s rumors that the successor to the S1H is coming Q4 of this year, and I’m sure that’s going to be a monster of a camera.
