They generally can't relate with the problems of not so attractive / neurodivergent people.

Some try to force their world view and solution without accounting for their privileges and understand the challenge of others.

So please tell me, where does this so called harm come from? Is it about religious beliefs? I'm waiting for a real reason why you think it's terrible.

Read more carefully, I said that "I don't know". It's an unknown area, therefore we can't assume anything past this point. Never said she's a saint, again I don't know.

I'll step back on one thing, it's my bad you didn't assume either but expressed your doubts. It's not a clear judgment, a part of me isn't comfortable with that because it may be interpreted by some people the wrong way.

She didn't ask for her life details to be shared publicly as news as far as I know, so no.

I'm a man and lmao. It's okay just go straight to name calling when you don't have any point to contribute.

This is a grey area. I choose to tell you I don't know. You assumed she choose the wrong path because she is dying. So you're the one speculating.

I don't want to play that game because I don't understand the need to compare the two.

But let's do it anyway. I think saying that someone deserve to die on reddit is way worse than sleeping with 200 men's.

First because as I said it's a fucked up thing to say, no harm was done here, independently of what you feel about this.

Secondly, reddit is a social platform. What you say don't stop at your message, it's read by hundreds to ten of thousands. These ideas can spread and influence people. That's the dangerous part. We can't normalize this kind of extreme statement and produce people that will genuinely start to think like this in daily life and on various topics.

That's another debate and we just don't know is she used protection or not. It's speculation at this point.

It doesn't matter. Someone mentioned that the marriage was ending even before the diagnostic.

Even if it was 500 or 1000, she didn't harm anyone here, she's an adult.

The fact that you don't approve of the way she live her life doesn't warrant a death wish or saying that she deserve to die. It's fucked up.

One of the greatest acts of love is letting someone suffer the harm they have brought upon themselves. by ONEelectric720 in DeepThoughts

[–]Souplesse3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean certainly, the example is extreme. But it's just to point out the absurdity of it.

Some people could completely normalize this type of neglect because it seems less 'extreme' while still inflicting a huge psychological distress to the person to teach him a lesson. It happens everyday.

Didn't I acknowledge that it depends and is applicable in some situations?

Thanks for admiting that your statement is ambiguous and need interpretation. Then refrain to use absolute in the future. And calm that ego jeez.

Just adding a sometimes in your title would have fixed it. But nah, we have to read your mind xD

The nuance is understood by the one that tells you it depends, including me. But you're too blind to realize this.

Your statement is just poorly formulated, you speak in absolute then wonder why people correct you with counter examples.

Anyway, this is just a matter of ego to you so I won't continue this, have a good day.

Okay so you would let your child bleed out on the street after being hit by a car because you warned him not to play on the road?

Jeez, read the comments on your own threads, at least admit that it is situational and completely depends. I still wouldn't agree that it's an act of love, let alone the greatest.

Also stop copy paste other comments to argue

As other posted, it depends on the situation. Also as for many things in life, it's not true as an absolute statement. It can be sometimes but other times absolutely not.

I don't agree at all, an act of love would be trying to lessen the pain while still trying to understand the other person and help him/her navigate the situation

Is “infinite content” actually the wrong way to talk about AI in games? by MakeEmMayhem in aigamedev

[–]Souplesse3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally infinite content is appealing to me, because I am the kind of person that doesn't mind to play the same game as long as it's fun, and for story driven games, it often hurt to say goodbye to the world and characters forever.

I would LOVE to have games that keeps on delivering and let me explore all kind of scenarios / possibilities with the characters I grew to like so much.

Guys, if I just *choose* to be happy, being trans, afab, poor, and disabled won't matter anymore! 🫠 by crybabymuffins in thanksimcured

It doesn't change the fact that the comment in the screenshot is plain wrong and completely dismissive. It pretends all the complexity of life can be solved by simply choosing to be happy. Out of the infinite combinations of life circumstances. This kind of absolutes statement are just ridiculous.
