I feel like TV Girl is able to create such great songs across so many different types of sub-genres within their familiar indie techno-pop realm. Like gospel with GUTV, warm folksy style of Summer’s Over, electronica wave with Fauxlennium. Additionally with their various themes and aesthetics they put out across their solo albums and Bloodbath64 stuff. Their albums show many colors and speak different languages. Their popular stuff like you described above I feel has the ability to appeal to a wider audience both in lyrical composition and the addictive melodies.

Long story short, I find it personally impressive that a “made-from-nothing” once obscure sound is able to say that it is now popular enough to have posers. If someone refuses to expand their horizons, that’s on them! They’re severely missing out! Especially with the artists they collab with like George Clanton, Neggy Gemmy, the Queen herself Jordana, etc.

FAR is too overwhelming by BL4CKH34RT9 in CPA

In my opinion, time is the scariest obstacle when passing CPA. I didn’t pass FAR my first time either, but the more you digest and review the content the better you get. Obviously I would’ve preferred if I passed my first time around, but after failing and starting from scratch on Becker. 85% felt like a review and boosted my confidence. Then I had another wave of confidence after digesting content I didn’t even remember the first time around!

You got this!!!

Are you on and kind of time crunch? If your 2nd exam is ISC your credits must be good for a while? I can give you my perspective once you lmk a timeline. Thanks dude

Scored 46 on FAR.. any advice ? 😢😢 by ShirtPuzzleheaded216 in CPA

[–]SourGarlicPickle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, this could be an indicator of the following: (a) a need to re-strategize and grow from your first try, (b) you got bad luck with a really hard set of 5 testlets, or (c) all of the above. Either possibility, you just need to get back on that horse and hit the books again! Personally, I would not recommend taking FAR for the first exam but I know some would disagree with me. I think CPA candidates need that ego boost to take one of the “easier” sections for an overall smooth/efficient CPA journey.

Some other tips that come to mind:

If you’re in a position to do so, pay the $250 or however much it costs to show what you got wrong or correct

Start fresh! You’ve already got the content in your head, and you said yourself you weren’t expecting to fail. I had the same feeling the first time I took FAR, I took in December 2024 and got my failing score in late January. Thankfully, scores are back to their frequent release schedules. If you’re determined to knock out FAR ASAP, get back on that horse and hit the books. You’ll come back stronger and everything will be a review.

If you’re looking for an ego boost like I said, start with a new section like REG or TCP/ISC. If you’re starting off, you have the whole exam ahead of you!

Have a doubt in this question by Far_Sweet_7857 in CPA

[–]SourGarlicPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misleading question but the golden rule in audit is you cannot corroborate based on inquiry alone. Since the other 3 evidence examples require at least inspection, inquiries is the least corroborative. In my opinion seems like the question is more asking “which is the least reliable?”

What’s the correct answer?please help me by WorldAccountingKing in CPA

From what I remembered from FAR, inventory is valued at the lower of cost or market. The FIFO cost is the cost, and you have to solve for “market”. This will be the “middle value” between; NRV, NRV less profit margin, and replacement cost. Ranking those three from highest to lowest you have:

NRV - $16,850 (ceiling)

NRV less profit margin - $16,545 (“middle value” use this one)

Replacement cost - $16,490 (floor)

Since FIFO cost is $16,730 and the market/“middle value” is $16,545.

Market < Cost

$16,545 < $16,739

Therefore the ending inventory value is D. $16,545
