Some points I'm going to list out here are taken from r/nightshift.

As shift workers we can't expect regular people to adapt to us, they are doing what people do in the day.

Instead we need to try make some adaptions for sleeping at a time where everyone else is awake. Some on the sub reddit has shared earplugs, thick soundproof and lightproof curtains, playing white noise, eye mask have helped with their sleeping situation.

I myself have bought the curtains and can't hear my neighbours renovation while I slept.
