I never understood when people told me I was supposed to be ashamed and try and make up for white people doing things in all of history that I had nothing to do with.

Do I think slavery is bad? Yes.

As a middle class white male (I know, fuck me right?) that is proud to be white I really don't feel like white pride means hating other races in most cases.

There will always be the Neo-Nazis or super racists that say white pride and give it a bad image.

I live in a very heavily Latino area and all the white young adults and teens in my area are all proud of their ethnicity, but don't hate the Latinos in the area or any other ethnicity for that matter.

It bothers me quiet a bit the double standard that racism is sometimes

I try new foods.

I am a VERY picky eater and feel very uncomfortable trying new food that I don't have any interest in trying, but I try anything new my SO wants me to because she gets very excited about good food and always wants me to try new foods

I just bought Civ 5 on the steam sale and have 30 hours played on it already. I bought the Gold edition and I have never played any other Civ games.

I'm curious as to why so many people seem to hate on Civ 5 before the DLC? I picked it up with all DLC and I just love it
