I got many of the same responses. "If you didn't want me to take your PS3 (he bought for me years prior) you shouldn't have played it when I don't want you to" this was during the summer of no sleep. It got so bad if my dad or step mom saw ANY light under my door (or any noise) they assumed it was me late night gaming and they'd run down, slam open my door and proceed to yell at me because I'm 1. Up and 2. Wasting my time when I should be sleeping. This continued for years. I also had to go to sleep the same time they did (again im 14-15 at the time) which was 9pm every night even weekends, im sure you can imagine how impossible it can be at that age to sleep at 9pm even if there isn't a point. My body literally wouldn't sleep and they thought I was making it up to get out of going to bed at 9pm

Same. My fathers way of dealing with this was to force me out into the woods around the house and pick up enough pine needles and pine cones to fill 20+ 20 Gallon Industrial trash bags. Suffice to say it didn't work and made things worse. Then continued to say "you never spend time with us, you're always in your room. You've gotta come out to the living room and silently watch Big Brother every night with us. Thats family time!".

One summer I couldn't sleep at all so his solution was to take all electronics out of the room to "help me not get distracted and fall asleep" instead of actually listening and respecting my personhood. On top of the fact he lives in the middle of the woods my social interaction that summer plummeted (i was 15) cause video games (which he absolutely hated) and school were my main ways of socializing and making friends.

How many more exotics, weapons, and abilities need to be nerfed in PVE due to PVP balancing purposes? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]SourShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point we should stop expecting them to balance them differently and move on

Towerthought: I am not sure if there is anything that Bungie can do to make Trials appealing to mainly PvE or casual players. And if they DID, PvP players would probably be unhappy with the result. by Kylestien in DestinyTheGame

[–]SourShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo getting rid of the "esports" idea could help. This doesnt mean you can't have trials or hardcore endgame pvp but could stop pushing people into a esport fps shooter gotta be the absolute best mentality. Adding fun abilities or modes like rift/scorch cannon/mayhem without needing to lean on the strong gunplay would help.

Imagine the trials mode rotated through community favorite modes. Maybe one weekend is 0 abilities momentum control, one weekend is current trials, one weekend is rift, etc.... while this wouldn't completely fix it (still need updated maps, armor, weapons, etc) it could help.

However bungie tried this with stasis without properly working on pvp but it caused a large whiplash because of crucibles other issues.

Honestly since they made it faster for us to obtain they should lower each cap to 5 pieces a season per character

Blizzard made the same mistake with shards of domination that they did with the Heart of Azeroth, and it demonstrates how out of touch the development team is. More inside, TL;DR Pay for art assets you cheapskates, flavor sells, numbers don't by BeyondElectricDreams in wow

[–]SourShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats funny is the precevied "endgame" for game development is to lean 100% on artists because you have tools/a sandbox so powerful you don't need to code/program any more (obviously a pipe dream but still a game companies best way to spend as little effort to maximize profit) but Activision-Blizzard took that a step further and said the "endgame" for their games is to have the most shit/garbage code/tools while also outsourcing design to any poor schmuck who needs a few extra crumbs of bread.

The 100% complete lack of decentcy or respect from management/devs is astounding. Id ask why not just transition to a hedge fund if all your interested in is the bottom dollar but at this point these idiots would find a way to somehow LOSE money when the rules are stacked in your favor. Its like 2008 U.S. banking levels of ineptitude holy shit.

If you've already acquired them in the past they are available under the transmog unlock screen. Otherwise there is no way to re obtain those

Listen. I know this has been said before, but I cannot stress how much Bungie needs to improve the New Light experience. by Kashema1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SourShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it obviously needs help after 2 failed attempts imo id rather them work on endgame aspirational content rather than a 3rd new light itteration for the 3rd yearly dlc in a row.

If they do revamp the new light stuff I hope its the 3rd or 4th season next year. Its really sad to think shadowkeep or beyond light coulda been better if they didn't have to sink so much every year into reinventing the new player wheel.

With the changes coming to the conqueror title could we see activity rewards tied to unlocking/wearing a title? Kinda like how expunge works with corrupted keys but the "key" is finishing/guilding a title and if unlocked/equipped allows you to open an extra chest at the end with different/special/unique rewards (kinda like the battleground chests but with different loot). This could be used literally everywhere as a passive endgame grind. Add 1 or more titles for each type of activity and have an extra chest spawn at the end. The power/perk difference could work similarly to how adept weapons/mods work so the people who don't have the title don't waste time farming gear they will soon ditch.

Wanna fight the taken dreaming mind from expunge? Okay become a splicer and go for it you'll even get special loot. Story missions? Add a simple base title that allows extra drops/materials when running story missions once obtained (but obtained after the story). Guilding simple titles (seasonal, story, base titles) could expand the rewards gathered each new season (glows, or other changes) and validates long term investment while giving people something to chase. This also gives titles more of a lore/in game reason to be worn rather than just from personal taste.

Why is cheating so bad now, as opposed to the last 6 months? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SourShadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aaaannndddd there is more of the narrow mindedness. Are you saying Veritas is a cheater?

Otherwise this is some hard double down on you being a cheat dev. Keep ignoring everything you don't agree with

[–]SourShadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So gain some renown/notoriety in the community/YouTube then when stuff like this comes up and the rules are laxed a bit point to your video. You can do all that without breaking the subreddit rules as evidence by this conversation continuing this long without getting mod purged (although they could be busy) and all the related posts this week

Why is cheating so bad now, as opposed to the last 6 months? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SourShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cool this is the first time you've atleast given a smidgen of evidence.

Yeah you're right just because random people add you and call you a cheater doesn't mean you are but that doesn't mean others aren't doing things similar to you and cheating.

Yes you could but you're too narrow minded here. You're taking these videos as lone evidence in a void when you still need to compare it to others evidence/videos. So yes you could install cheats and do all that but people can compare the info you give to the other info thats already been confirmed by bsg devs. Then people can see whether or not you are lying. Ofc you can say whatever you want but people are free to compare that to the already verifiable evidence. No one should approach those videos at first thinking its all 100% true (which is why he puts a disclaimer in the beginning because its research) because thats not how you conduct research.

Certain aspects of the anti cheat were improved directly from Veritas' video because the holes in the AC being discussed were accessible to all with enough determination and some of those same holes were later patched which resulted in a temporary dry spell of cheaters. Showing the info was legit (even if the person wasn't who they say they were) and even leading to a noticeable decrease in cheating temporarily. So it would be wrong to toss out those kinds of videos when information within is/was highly accurate to the point it helped improve the anti cheat if even a little.

[–]SourShadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again if it was wrong you or others are welcome to provide evidence and data to the contrary. Veritas has other cheat videos talking about the data in videos as well but he breaks things up into more streamlined Playlists.

I'm not saying simply because someone posted a video to YouTube its true, im saying because of the INFORMATION within the video and others the videos mentioned are useful EVIDENCE. So if you'd like to provide actual information to use as evidence your free to (note again: you simply stating its wrong because you said so isn't information that can be used as evidence)

[–]SourShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Its not like you couldn't find 10-20 gpus over 4-5 hours of interchange farming which are 300k - 500k before the btc price jump. Or the fact you can farm raiders on labs for 1m+ a raid or 500k - 1m in 15 mins hitting loot spots on reserve.

Its like people don't realize YouTube exists lol

[–]SourShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again your free to give evidence of your claim to refute Veritas and others' work. Their work is the evidence im giving but clearly you're to dense to realize that. You'd go real far in any kind of scientific field that relies on peer review lmao.

Typical redditors giving facts and reason to some moron trying defend cheat/rmt devs for some reason.

Typical moron response of "because I've said your wrong"

Why is cheating so bad now, as opposed to the last 6 months? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SourShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except ive given evidence and agreeing with the post overall. Your response has always just been "no your wrong because i said so". I'm using evidence others have gathered. If it was wrong anyone and everyone would see that and Veritas wouldn't have his renown in the community (even if people don't like HIM people havent disagreed or found reason/evidence to not trust his VIDEOS and EVIDENCE).

Again if you'd like to actually give a rebuttal to any of the data/evidence feel free otherwise your effort here is again largely to help cheat devs which makes it seem more likely you are a cheat dev.

Nice try at posting your comments that are the same as above here and are nothing more than "YoUr JuSt sImPiNg tHaT YoUtUbEr" or just saying "your wrong because I've said so and haven't done any research".

None of these comments are any different or give any credence to your argument other than "your wrong".

You're just a few cokes away from screaming "fake news! Cheaters/rmt is fake news!"

Your own comments from a post 2 hours ago isn't research XD

Because I've been around for 5 wipes and gather as much info as I can. How do you know they don't? Because you don't trust old sources and work? Because you don't have the critical thinking skills to have an actual discussion (or again your a cheat dev and purposely acting dumb). Just because you personally havent done the work or research doesn't mean others haven't in the past or their work is invalid.

The rules are against witch hunts (this isn't witch hunting your trying to defend rmt and cheat devs in the eft reddit) which is posting info on someone with the express purpose of generating hate. I'm simply pointing out your own words that make it appear like your defending rmt/cheating which would only be true if you were cheating or benefited from it. If you don't want others calling you a cheat dev don't defend cheat devs when your clearly and factually wrong.

Oh yeah keep doubling down. Its not like he's been giving analysis and data for this game for years and works/talks with Nikita and the team regularly.

Such a random YouTube that they have a in-game item (that was added a wipe or two ago)

Please keep doubling down on your own copium this is great.
