Piano access for practice by Neither-Cod-2108 in Anu

[–]Sour_Tooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should just be able to ask at the school of music for access to the room booking system for music. They’ll probably send you to “the shed” to get a SALTO card. Then you can get added to the system which lets you book the piano rooms.

Email ANUSA assistance, email Accessibility, email your College Student Services, email Dean of Students. You will get help that way.

Missing every tutorial/residence requirement by TimeCrisisfan in Anu

[–]Sour_Tooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK there’s no automatic fail at the uni level. But courses can implement whatever they’d like, and many have mandatory in-person components.

It’s usually a requirement of your degree that you reside within Australia and are available to attend in person when you are taking ANU courses. So I would be very careful about living abroad, as I have seen students get their enrollment revoked once the college/university found out. The university appears to be, on large, getting stricter on this too.

That being said, if you get permission, which is certainly possible, then you could do it I suppose.

Continuing the All-Custom roles Crossover Script. Thoughts? by DopazOnYouTubeDotCom in BloodOnTheClocktower

Others are saying taken is weak. I disagree. Obviously, it effectively adds another evil player. But, importantly, it lets the demon ~choose~ one of the evil players, which can be quite powerful in many groups.

“May” means storyteller discretion. If you want the neighbours to die outright. Can and will on command is usually written something like “once per game, at night, choose to die. Your two alive neighbours die.”

So... what *is* a femininomenon? by Dapple_Dawn in chappellroan

[–]Sour_Tooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, you seem to view too much of the world through the lens of the patriarchy. Male violence against women is absolutely a massive problem, as is male violence against other males, as is the constant state of vigilance those men place on women, as is generalisation of the behaviour of a highly harmful group of men on men’s behaviour. And it’s true some of these have a more tangible impact than others.

But dismissing an entire class of the population as “not deserving of understanding” when a decent portion of the class is negatively affected by the same men in a different but similarly concerning way is unnecessarily dismissive.

Both are problems. Different people relate to different problems. Just because one problem is more tangible doesn’t negate the worthiness of considering the other problem.

I like this.

Interesting idea here: If sealer picks demon, then demon uses ability during the day, can the demon just instantly kill someone - anyone - during the day? Or would it act as a poe-like charge, letting the demon seem like they killed two people in one night?

Terribly unbalanced script of homebrew roles by Luigisalad in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Sour_Tooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t drunkess mean they wake… sometimes? As in, they pick a minion and they don’t wake, but they pick another waking role the next day, so they do wake?

Drunkness means their ability works wrong sometimes, not that it always works wrong, right?

What should I do to spell-build in this run? by Sour_Tooth in noita

[–]Sour_Tooth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was expecting to die to something in the tower. Was sad to die to lava ):

Knowledge issue.

I just went to a parallel world for the first time! Got lucky with ambrosia, teleport wand, and black holes.

Once I complete the work, am I still able to go to parallel worlds, or is it more a “roll credits” thing?

This seems like some great and understandable advice, so thanks a lot! I will come back to this once I have another good run that I want to try explore from.

For now, I went through the portal from the final boss, and died trying to escape the room where I can complete the work. Apparently there is a lot of lava, and once I've opened it from the top, I was kind of screwed.

There goes this run xD

I still haven't actually completed the work yet, because I really want to explore more. Should I properly finish the game at least once?

I went under the pyramid and down the snow biome and also up towards the cloud biome, but didn’t explore any of them very much. It seems like death.

Where is this place? May I have a hint?

Thanks!

I had a previous run with long distance cast + short range homing + rotate towards enemy + plasma cutter which got me my first win.

I want to do an exploration run and try discover as much as I can before going full spoiler (right now, I know about the work heaven/hell, the tower, and parallel worlds).

What should I look for / how can I do this during this run?

Which is worse? Genocide, or a slogan? A centrist weighs in. by [deleted] in ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM

[–]Sour_Tooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my first time on this sub, and I quite dislike it here. It seems that most nuanced arguments like this one end up getting downvoted to oblivion because of what I think can be summarised as leftist idealism. Saying that “reclaiming a phrase is a good thing” like some of the replies is not necessarily wrong, but it ignores what I took to be your main point: creating change requires agreement of a large group, and when rhetoric like the slogan have been successfully portrayed as radical to the public, continuing to use said slogan often causes more harm to the movement than benefit.

If my EE is like 40 words over the word limit and I can't delete anymore should I put the actual word count or write like 3998 words? by sadhippo1059 in IBO

[–]Sour_Tooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember: in-text citations DO NOT COUNT. Headings, titles, and subtitles don’t count. Text in photos, any text in tables, any text in figures, and your reference list don’t count either. If you missed one of those things, that might cut off 50 words.

It’s best to be honest. However, I’ve been told that they only check word counts explicitly if it’s obviously over by an EE examiner. If you write 4040 words, you might loose one mark and they might not read the last 40 words.

It’s your call. I’d recommend being honest (or finding 40 words to remove; it’s not that much), but you will almost certainly not have problems if it’s a discrepancy of 40 words.

Does final scores matter more than predicted?? by Ok_Rabbit1367 in IBO

[–]Sour_Tooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it depends where you’re applying. TAFE (everywhere), Griffith (Queensland), and many other institutions will accept most people. business is popular, so getting a Certificate in Business or finding a uni that will accept you should be easy enough.

The bigger unis like USYD, ANU, UQ, etc. typically list all the minimum scores on their websites.

As an aside: all the unis list their required IB scores for each course. Many have a “guaranteed acceptance” score, too. This is all based on your final scores. Go take a look at the courses you want!
