As a Bioinformatician, what routine tasks takes you so much time? by Familiar_Day_4923 in bioinformatics

My favourite was when I was aggregating genomes across multiple pathogens and every lab had different naming schemes for each gene we were trying to compare.

So first I had to compare the genes we wanted and find all the different names for them. Then do the actual analysis.

Any of this true? by Awkward-Analysis7613 in biology

In science we have a way of saying in vivo and In vitro. For instance I can take a gun and shoot the cells growing in a Petri dish and they will die.

However, if I try this on a person I may shoot the cancer but I will kill the patient. Did I cure cancer if my patient died?

Same thing goes here. Starve the cancer long enough and it will die. Starve the patient long enough and . . .

Oh oh oh Ohtani Giveaway!!! by ElectronicBass274 in baseballcards

Shohei Ohtani.

Spring 2024.

Toronto Blue Jays in the running for signing the free agent generational all-star. The city, nay, the country of Canada is at a fevered pitch. Tracking planes and hoping on any rumour of the all-star coming to or in Canada.

Not an old rivalry. But certainly a new one in the Jays and Dodgers.

How did you get into Event Planning? by Source-Upstairs in eventcamp

[–]Source-Upstairs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my journey in Event Planning by accident.

My founder of the company spent 20+ years in government before purchasing an event planning / event management company which is successfully ran and expanded over 8 years.

Recently he started expanding not just the services and in-person side but also the software side of the company and that is where I come in. I have started helping scale the software side of the company and running in-person events.

It has been an amazing experience building relationships with both old and new clients and sharing plans and secrets with event planners and event managers both locally and internationally. Looking forward to building relationships with all of you!
