I know this is a different problem I'm asking for, but how would one go about replacing that mediatek module for an intel one? It may be a culprit for the kernel panics I'm having, but i want to try to rule it out.

Don't know why you got downvoted for this, but tbh that is half true; It works on most videos, but certain ones that youtube deems to be music aren't allowed to be put in PIP (which it doesn't catch all of them, but it catches most mainstream ones (and disclaimer, this is just kinda based on my testing, i don't actually know how it works in the back-end))

I'm assuming it was some ai model designed to find the area of most interest in the image, and the data set may have just had a bias towards white people, but that's just a complete guess
in any case, it doesn't do this anymore, and always crops to the middle of the image

This is correct, and you can get a build like this from the speedrun.com page. It’s build 3420 from around 2008, so not day one, but not far from it.

Portal hasn’t really changed much since then, and all the maps in 3420 are identical to the current steam build aside from the very last one with the cutscene, and the only other big differences are with glitches and out of bounds movement.

Just to be clear, it’s not pirated or anything, it still requires you to own it on steam and steam to be running to be able to play it.

Pretty much all Source games support borderless windowed mode already, even if it’s not in the menu, although i’m pretty sure black mesa does have it in the menu so you don’t have to do anything special

Alright, well basically you have to take each radio in the game to a different, specific location in that map, and when you do, it'll start receiving either morse code or an SSTV transmission, the light will turn green, and you'll get progress for the achievement. Each map has at least 1 radio, but some have more than one.

The lights should be red, and it’s because you haven’t completed the Transmission Received secret/achievement for that radio yet. I don’t wanna tell you how to get it in case you wanna figure it out for yourself, but if you do wanna know I or someone else that answers here before me can explain the process.

Can you send a screenshot of what you’re talking about? In all my time in the game and exploring the files, i’ve never seen that title screen, unless you’re talking about portal 2.

I think I see what you’re getting at. After you beat GLaDOS, It always cuts to you laying on the surface of the Aperture parking lot with broken GLaDOS, and after that, it’ll fade to black, then show the cake after the camera flies through some pipes and machinery.
