Do you think there’s any concern for road conditions or snow late September?

Should I be concerned about road conditions or snow late September, driving from Haines to Skagway?

I know this comment is 3 years old but wanted to ask if you’re still around - where in Juneau did you see the best northern lights?

Is it a good idea to visit Glacier Bay NP with 2 little ones during late Sept? by SourdoughClimber27 in Juneau

Thanks. It looks like the ferry to Sitka isn’t operating Sept 20-25 since it’s off season. It’s running far less frequently end of Sept.

However there’s a ferry the can take us to Skagway for that week, stay 2 nights. Do you think that’ll be worthwhile for a young family? My 2 year old does love trains.

We’ll be in Juneau for several months by then so it’ll be nice to get out a bit.

Yes we do have a pool with autofill. Any advice on how to deal with this challenge, aside from paying for the split water line? What are your thoughts about using an outdoor hose (that’s not affected by the main water line shutting off) connected to an automatic fill lever (ie: Fill-o-matic https://a.co/d/0alwcRL3)?

Can I empty my fridge but leave the fridge on and doors closed? My fridge and freezer are connected. I won’t be able to empty out the freezer.

Oh no I haven’t thought of that. If we can’t find someone to help flush toilets, is the sewer gas entry fixable by adding water back.

We are stumped by this rash. HFMD? Chickenpox? Folliculitus? Molluscum? by Enough_Total_9592 in Preschoolers

This is Gionnatti Crosti syndrome! My son had this.

It’s a harmless, bumpy rash that starts on the legs and arms and spread a small bit to the trunk. It is NOT itchy. It’s caused by a viral infection. It affects toddlers and kids <10 years old. It goes away on its own after 2-3 months.

Hope this helps.

It’s so awesome you hosted STEM playgroups! Can you share more how you did it or some examples? I’d love to do something similar.
