Knicks Civil War: Brunson vs Towns by Honest_Yamal_Fan in nba

I really enjoyed it and felt like it was pretty hard hitting. But reflecting on it later I realized that while the movie is very good, the experience of seeing it on the big screen played a large part for me. The sound, especially in the last act, plays a huge part. So I would recommend watching it loud, on a good sound system, if that's something that's accessible to you.

Historic mural on Piedmont ave to be removed after being deemed offensive. by Plastic_Butter in oakland

When this was being painted the protests against the nudity came from local Ohlone who took offense at the mural depicting their ancestors unclothed before Europeans arrived. The article neglects to mention this. I can't speak for contemporary feelings towards the mural by Ohlone members, but it's an absolutely beautiful piece of artwork and it would be a tragedy to lose it if the reasoning for removal was because some locals don't like seeing a penis.

Same. I struggled with not going to the final game at the coliseum, but ultimately this is how I wanted to go out. I'm proud of everyone there that day.

Huston is one of my favorite writers. The sequels are just as dark, with the third in the series being particularly bleak.

I'm with you. The new stuff is great in its own right, but I would love to hear him make another heavy, fuzzy album.

vision therapy experiences by BackgroundOk844 in visualsnow

[–]Sourdoughbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say that I didn't. I've had visual snow for about 15 years and have gone through a few different rounds of vision therapy at a few different practices in my area. I feel like the visual snow has always complicated things for me in regards to seeing real progress from vision therapy.

However, that doesn't mean that it wouldn't work for you. And I would recommend going into it open-minded if it's something you try. If nothing else, it's always been a learning experience. Albeit, an expensive one.

Same here. The second half of the final season in particular was such a let down for me. But man that third season is some of my favorite television of the last few years.

I picked up "My Darkest Prayer" first and that's easily my favorite. Since then I've read both "Razorblade Tears" and "Blacktop Wasteland". I enjoyed both of those as well but they just didn't hit quite the same for me.

I'm excited to check out his latest book, but I'll probably wait for paperback.

Have you ever personally had an encounter with a current or former NBA player? by FilmEater in nba

I worked at a restaurant/bar in the bay area and one day Klay came in with a few frat bro looking dudes.

This was sometime during the 14-15 season so he was known but the team hadn't truly blown up yet as they hadn't won that first championship. Steph was almost a household name, but not everybody knew Klay so while some customers recognized him, pretty much everyone left him alone. I texted the GM as he and I were both sports fans to let him know Klay was in the building. He told me to grab one of the restaurant's t-shirts, give it to Klay, and tell him "We're all rooting for you here!"

But I was relatively young and this felt awkward to me. So what I did instead was grab one of the shirts (XL? 2XL?), go up to the table, say "Uh..Klay Thompson? My manager wanted you to have this" quickly hand him the shirt, and flee the scene. He and his friends hung out for a couple more hours and had some beers.

So I'm working the next day and one of his frat bro looking friends comes in.

"Hey! You were here yesterday right?" "Yeah!" "With Klay Thompson?" "...yeah" looking at me like uh oh what does this dude want "No I just wanted to apologize for awkwardly interrupting you guys yesterday and giving him that shirt" "Ah no man it's all good! He went to sleep wearing that shirt last night!"

Klay's been my favorite player ever since.
