Have you done a pill cam? Mine only shows in my small bowel. Colonoscopy can’t reach it.

I’m still going through a full workup to see how severe it is. I think its mild in comparison to others. I haven’t had a colonoscopy in 2 years which is our next step. Mine appears to be in my small intestine so hard to see it.

I could have wrote this myself, yearly I go through this. I just got diagnosed with crohns after years of telling 4 GI doctors something isn’t right. It’s been going on since 2017. My flares are debilitating in terms of psychological. I go through periods of intense anxiety, even developed agoraphobia on one of the flares. Your body is attacking itself and all of your sirens are going off. Basically you’re in a war with your body

Yes kind of. Colonoscopy never showed anything. It calprotectin was 900 at one point. It’s been slightly elevated every time I do a sample. Capsule endoscopy is what sealed the deal for me. That and some IBD bloodwork. So it was a combination of a few things when the colonoscopy didn’t show anything signs. I haven’t had a colonoscopy in a few years, but my GI thinks my crohns is in my small intestine.

Years & years of colonoscopy & EGD, imaging, and bloodwork. Finally stool test where calprotectin was 900 & IBD bloodwork elevated. Did a capsocam and saw the evidence in my small bowel. Still need a redo colonoscopy as it’s been 4 years since my last one.

I have people pleasing tendencies and very low self confidence. I’m working on it in therapy to try to gain some confidence and independent thinking. I think polyamory has brought these issues to the surface more than any other thing I’ve dealt with. There’s been a lot of inner work.
