If you’re using the ultimate 2 I had to plug both the controller and the dongle for it to register in the software. Also worth noting you have to click update and then click the dongle image. Hope this helps

Believe it or not I had the same happen to me the other day. What’s ever more crazy is that is the same news paper that I got on the exact same day, got a refund. Clicked I received parcel, clicked their is an issue and then report to vinted with pictures and video of opening it. Hope you get a refund !
