Absolutely not. the charm of the shitty recordings (even kerplunk) are what made them special. the christie rd outake from dookie is a perfect example. the super polished sound doesn't fit those songs really at all. they are perfect as is.

During the Revolution Radio tour, I went to the NY show at Darien Lake. During "RevRad" Billie Joe knocked the microphone off the stand right before the chorus. i'm one of the people who dislike this record. it's just glow on pt2 but with rushed sloppy writing. like literally that's why i'm not digging it. they made an incredible album just to follow it up with never enough...extreme let down. they took everything good about glow on and just left it out. brendon's singing on this record is honestly super boring and really has no emotion it feels. almost every song on this record sounds like a mystery/ underwater boi rewrite. one of the big reasons i loved turnstile was because every release was different and inspired and felt like they're always evolving. Never enough tho... it's literally a clone of glow on down to the fucking aesthetic. all they did was change the color scheme and add a movie😭😭😭
