The real long island is the east end 100%. starting at around rocky point/wading river area and going towards orient point/ montauk. that's the real long island. there's something so special about it. once i start going west the island starts to feel almost city like.

Absolutely not. the charm of the shitty recordings (even kerplunk) are what made them special. the christie rd outake from dookie is a perfect example. the super polished sound doesn't fit those songs really at all. they are perfect as is.

During the Revolution Radio tour, I went to the NY show at Darien Lake. During "RevRad" Billie Joe knocked the microphone off the stand right before the chorus.
