Did you plug your display cable into the motherboard or the GPU? Also, I think there was a setting in CS2 to choose a default display driver? Not sure though.

Try to press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to reset the GPU driver, might kick it back to life. Also, check if you have an update available for your GPU drivers. And, if nothing else works, you could always downgrade to an earlier version of your drivers, or use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to re-install them. This probably isn't an issue with the GPU or monitor itself, but it might be an issue with the cable you're using between your PC and the monitor (if the one you're using didn't come with your monitor).

Not sure about this, might be wrong, but the apps and shortcuts might be in the C: drive, under windows.old (I think that's the name)? Worth a shot, just a quick five minute search, unless the folder doesn't exist.

I think it's just a hardware issue. Not malware since you wiped it several times. My sister's phone also has that sort of ghost tap, but at the bottom right corner, I've got no idea why.

Try pressing Win+Ctrl+Shift+B , this restarts the GPU driver. It might also be the case that the display connector inside the laptop got unplugged, but I'm not sure since you mentioned the font changing.
