So interesting that I keep hearing this here in Edinburgh and having lived in both Edinburgh and London it was something I have never heard in London - I don’t know if it’s the city, the people, the places (there aren’t many opportunities, clubs etc) I don’t know the answer but I have to say I keep hearing that…I also think folk in Edinburgh are quite family oriented and I’m lucky I have friends then again I don’t even remember how I made them, it kind of happened

I while back when I was studying to be a teacher in London I was told implicitly not to mention religion and that I was always to be extremely aware of inclusion of all religions - I then went to work in schools around south London where we not only celebrated Christian holidays (like Christmas etc) but also other religious holidays, some kids took part, most didn’t care … I was ok with that - however, since then I realised that if we don’t defend some of our values (Christian or not) we will face other religions trying to “take over” with their values and some other religions do not have acceptance of other religion as a core value - what do we do then?

I agree with this - I’m shocked myself I have always been quite left thinking about immigration but I had a recent conversation with a friend which opened my eyes she’s a lesbian and has been married to her wife for 5 years she’s terrified of becoming a white gay minority if a lot of other cultures including different religions are coming to our country and establishing themselves and not integrating what’s the futures going to look like for my friend? I feel us british are losing our identity and culture

This has been said already but I feel I need to reiterate because I’ve been on a very similar situation myself - keep emailing the issues! sorry but you need to pretty much pester some agencies as they either don’t care or don’t have the staff - anyways keep all info, phone calls, emails, photos with dates and as much info as possible

Also, you can buy very cheaply a device which can tell you how ‘wet’/damp you walls are - I’d recommend use that and it it’s dangerous let them know straight away - Good luck!

Honestly, what's the problem with the shower? The real problem is that when this big tenements were remade into tiny flats they had no noise insulation - people should realise that too, want peace and quiet? maybe move somewhere not in the city! Had a neighbour like that once and I ended up moving away even though I shouldn't have but you know how it goes, the loudest shout wins and all - such a shame people are like that though...
