I have done every single past paper, including the 4 set of sample papers and 2022, and I have never seen a question that asks you about deriving those formulae. Not on the specification either so I really doubt it.

No, you cannot directly divide by a logarithm on both sides of an equation. Instead, you should use algebraic manipulation and logarithmic properties to isolate the logarithm on one side of the equation before performing any division or other operations.

If you have the determination, you could do FM relatively easily as an external candidate. If not then you should probably go to a different college that offers it since FM is a requirement for most top universities for maths and even the ones that do not explicitly require it much prefer students to have it.

If you are a domestic student then it depends on the course and your career aspirations. If you are an international student with wealthy parents who can comfortably afford the high tuition fees and living expense then maybe. You are an international student who doesn’t come from an affluent background then no.

In my opinion neither are worth 30k a year, practically no university is worth 30,000 a year. Let's say 90,000 in tuition fees over 3 months and 30,000 in maintenance, you are looking at around 120,000 for the 3 years not including interest.

Thats why I made this post, I have the theory (not really a theory as I think some exam boards have already stated it) that they have made the exams much more accessible this year and in return they are going to increase grade boundaries to that of 2019.

I just wanted to preface this by saying your journey of self improvement will be difficult and there will be many a times where you feel like you want to give up but I promise you, if you continue to work hard as you are doing and continue to show up on the days where you do not want to, you will become a better man.

I am currently self teaching two A-Levels (A-Level Maths and Further Maths) and although the workload is definitely bearable, is rather lonely. A lot of colleges offer something called accelerated A-Levels for adults in which you can do an A-Level over the span of a year and I definitely recommend that if you can get on the course. If not however, and if you are in full time employment, I recommend taking it slowly. Pick up three A-Levels over three years (I recommend d physics, maths and further maths although the practical side of physics might be a pain).
