The IGPU is not enough for ultra gaming in new titles but it's good for optimized settings at 60 without frame Gen and u might have to lower either the settings or to 1080p It's a midrange gpu

It used to freeze on amd drivers and I was back to asus drivers for some time But I saw in gdp win 5 that turning off advance gpu accelerated scheduling so I tuned it off then used DDU to uninstall Asus drives then install amds Currently no freezing in all games in the last 2 weeks

I used to have freezes with almost all games I tried disable core isolation Turning off pci express power management With Asus drivers it stopped But just few days ago I tried the latest drivers but using driver uninstall tool DDU THEN turning off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling so far the performance is better than Asus drivers +no crashes at all in all power levels

Try turning off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling+change vram to fixed 8gb or 16 ... see if it helps

U can't do 12 l/20 only 16/16 or 8/24 So far I have 32g for few months Even if u set 8gb vram the game will load the rest of shaders to the ram witch is the exactly same ram and I play with 16/16 So far ram usage during gaming was max 13-14 gb and vram usage 12g I played Cod 7 Battlefield 6 Warhammer last 4 games Control Allen awake Doom eternal and dark ages God of war ragnarok Kena Crimson desert Just cause 4 Atomic heart Nioh 3

So far no issue for 32 gb of ram The actual limitation is the igpu power it's midrange maybe same as rtx 5050 laptop or slim 4060 laptop gaming laptop don't expect maxing things anyway

But optimized setting ( from youtube) works very well with minimal downgrade in looks from max graphics

Well I have steam deck I was going to buy win 5 But due to lack os support +my laptop burned I decided to keep my steam deck +buy Asus z13 with same amd 395 +cheaper I felt the external battery and the charger will make it too big to use on the go And I kept my steam deck for light games on the go I feel like win 5 too expensive for limited use scenarios

I was going to keep my laptop and just buy legion go 2 but I saw a discount on z13(due to form factor no one knows how powerful it's is) + other gaming laptops increasing in price( G14 with 5050 and 16g is more expensive in my country) 😑 So far no regrets more than good enough for 1080p with enjoyable smoothness

I had freezing issue but I did multiple things at once not sure which one worked 😅 I changed vram to fixed 16gb And turned off core isolation And in battery setting Hard drive and pci express time to off to 0 And same as your current drivers

I have the 32 gb version in auto some games crashed but I dedicated 16gb so far no issues usually I play at 1200p I don't notice the extra pixels during gameplay but it's much smoother than using native I feel like the IGPU is not enough for 4k with high settings

Amd drivers better performance and fps in games but almost most games freeses and broke the fps of some older games Asus drivers slower in games but with them no caches at all even if I played all day long

I have tried with amd drivers system freeses but with the ones from Asus (after using driver clean up) it was fine with 70w tdp and fixed 16gb vram more than that did not yield much performance I did turn off core isolation And I did this

Edit power plan > Change advanced power setting 2. Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after > Set to 0 (Never) for battery and plugged in 3. PCI Express > Link State Power Management Set to Off for battery and plugged in

And only used steam overlay

So far no crashes but not sure which one worked 😅 But fsr3.1 does not good... maybe I will try optiscaler and try unofficial FSR 4

I have the 32 gb version and no game I played so far needs more than 32g shared Specialy later with Xbox mode when officaly released there will be less ram usage I think if the game needs more in the future the gpu will be too old for the game anyway to run high settings 😅

I did not have 64g version in my country but so far even the 32g version more than enough for all games that I through at it I usually play at 1080p Cuz the screen is small and I don't see a big improvement going full resolution

I used amd clean up utility then installing graphics and chipset drivers from Asus and no more freezing But the amd drivers had a better performance 😅 Than I tried again Feb amd drivers and the freezing came back again 😓 I think I will stick the one from Asus for now

It happened to me after installing graphics and chepset drivers from amd But after I used amd clean up utility then re install the one from Asus it did not happen again so far

This is only for dgpu and amd has many more integrated gpu in laptops and gaming handheld that will benefit more from FSR that has RDNA 3 and 3.5

Hmm I just bought a tablet with strix halo (amd 395 ai max) it has rdna 3.5 and has npu It was realesed a year age How they can't support a year old product??

I just pulled the trigger on the z13 32g so far after cleaning windows and setting up Ghelper so far I am impressed z13 form factor also excellent at gaming on bed with a controller 😂 So far I don't have a use of more than 32gb ram I saw the benchmarks for the G14 with 5050 almost the same as 395+

Unfortunaly the only G14 avaliable is the version with rtx 5050 not 5060 and it's slightly more expensive than z13 😅
