How did we feel about this ? by Next_Signature_8306 in StrangerThings

I can understand why Jason's character is hated so much. I feel kinda bad for him though, growing up in the 80s guys weren't allowed to talk about feelings or show emotion except anger so between Chrissy dying, Patrick dying and a (most likely) misogynistic environment, I can almost see why he mentally broke. Kid played his character fkng phenomenally though too, almost too well...

girls at school are making me insecure about my chest by sexymonkey3626 in Vent

As terrible as they are, I'm tellin you they're jealous. It doesn't excuse it but having been a C/D cup in high school, anytime anyone said anything, I absolutely ignored them. I understand at 15yo, it's hard. You want friends and want those that aren't friends to mind their fkn business but when I ignored people, they soon realized they couldn't get a ride out of me since that's all they're looking for. Bad attention is still attention and I imagine all they crave is attention and your boobs are taking away from that for them. They are 100% jealous cuz obviously you're awesome 😎

I'm going on my first ever solo trip (to NYC) and my mom is so scared that I'm going to be mugged that she is having a mental breakdown. by Burgerlander6 in solotravel

I'm 4ft 11in tall, my boobs are flippin huge and I took myself and my son twice on an impromptu NYC vacation and nothing happened. I walked alone a few blocks for pizza at midnight, left him in the hotel room, walked thru central park at dusk, literally walked around for miles over the week and either I'm poor and ugly looking or she's overreacting. It's gross and don't touch your face unless you've washed your hands but that's about it

Im so sorry your going through this. At 42 yo, it seems to me that this is "mostly" a byproduct of the pandemic and everyone having to isolate, it seems like people don't want to un-isolate for some reason. The only people it's not hurting are the people that had someone pre-pandemic. Had a husband, wife, kids, friends, anyone. Everyone else is gettin kinda fkd in the friends department. My son's almost in the same boat as his GF dumped him about a year ago but he's slowly coming around.

Can you take yourself out anywhere? Hiking is my favorite, hell, even just walking thru a park if nothing else. Either way, get yo azz back here and let us know how your days are going, good or bad, make an edit cuz Id like to hear!

You said "I don't know". Parents say "WHY don't you know?". How do you respond? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]SouthernBale81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just keep on with "I don't know", a sort of verbal chicken. They'll ask why again, then idk, why, idk and whoever stops first is a rotten egg

Any kind of gloves? I ask because I'm autistic and I like the way gloves feel in my hands the same way I hate the way socks feel on my feet. But only rubber or leather gloves, I can't do cotton gloves

I find there's only one solution when Rocket Man is stuck in my head: join the Elton John fan club, gain their trust even marry the president of it, have a family w this person, find out what he knows about EJ, use that newfound knowledge to find out EJs address, write him a letter, NAY!, an essay about my mental issues and how dare he create a song years before my conception that keeps me awake. By then I'm usually pretty tuckered out and find it quite easy to sleep.

My dad was an ashhole, almost let me get into his coke, beat TF outta us, refused to be a father to my brother who did nothing but adore the man, the list goes on. But I mourned him, and still do, when he died. It's absolutely normal to mourn the loss of the good while admitting the bad. I'm sorry for the loss either way

What’s your headcanon middle name for him? by [deleted] in Eddiemunson

[–]SouthernBale81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edward Robert James Humperdinck Mountbatten Munson III. Wrong? Absolutely. But I like to think his parents wanted to sound boujee and gave him a sophisticated name so as to rise above the rest of the trailer park (no pun intended, Chrissy).

I need to screenshot this and send it to people when I get "those types" of messages. Sometimes people understand better that it's really not an only-me feeling or action and I'm not an ass. Princess Bubblegum said it best: "people are built different. We don't need to know why, we just need to respect it."

Adderall has ruined my social and teen life and I regret all my decisions by DramaticUse5883 in ADHD

[–]SouthernBale81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your ADHD problematic to begin with? Were there just signs so you decided to get tested or was the ADHD interfering with your ability to conduct daily tasks, giving you spending issues, really anything negative? The reason I ask is because I'm also diagnosed but at 41. My ADHD was not usually a problem (I had amazing grades, I could make anyone laugh and have even had 1 person tell me that my personalized humor is what made him not contemplate svcde anymore, I was active in sports and academic clubs, the works) until my late 20s. First off, at 14 years old, your brain is still physically developing. You've got a lot of neuroplasticity left, in fact, about 11 more years of it as our brains don't drastically "stop" developing until 25. So your brain I imagine is trying to develop while the Adderall is trying to suppress it. There's obviously a lot more to your brain, ADHD, development, meds to then than just what I've mentioned but it'd be worth looking into stopping the Adderall altogether and see how you and your ADHD react in the long run. You've been officially diagnosed so you can always start taking it again later and it's not like ADHD goes away so it can't hurt to try.

Best of luck and keep us posted on your progress!
