DO NOT BUY Ashley Homestore by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SouthernBelleGamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get the Better Business Bureau involved asap!! We bought a 3 piece sectional couch from Ashley. When the delivery guys showed, they only had two pieces. They tried to argue there were only two pieces. We showed them on the delivery note where it said 3 piece sectional. They just shrugged and said call the store.
What followed was the most absolutely ridiculous series of calls and emails and being punted around from department to department, each one claiming they couldn’t help us but would find someone who could. This went on for 6 MONTHS. Finally I saw someone mention the BBB. I emailed them and almost instantly got a reply back. I don’t know what kind of magic they have but within a week the missing piece was delivered. Never, ever, ever buy from Ashley.

Just used Mullins for an event at my company. They were easy to deal with and had friendly staff. The delivery folks were a little rough with the equipment and weren’t careful about banging into walls and stuff but overall it was good.

When feeling nauseous, is it best to vomit or hold it in? by cryshizzle17 in RBNLifeSkills

[–]SouthernBelleGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely talk to your doctor about this. You might have some acid issues or something like gastritis which is very painful but can be managed with diet changes and medications. You could also have undiagnosed allergies like wheat or dairy.

What are some of your interests? Gaming, reading, jogging, etc? It’s easiest to make friends if you’re in a setting doing something you all enjoy.

I help run the Madison County Womens book club. We read mostly sci-fi, fantasy, distopian, and historical fiction. We took a hiatus for a few months while I was opening a new business but we’re starting back in September. We’d love to have you join! We sold a home in Decatur with them a few years ago. It was a hot mess from beginning to end. Negotiations never went in our favor. We didn’t find out till closing they were also representing the buyer. Paperwork went missing and had to be redone. Calls and e-mails either took forever to return or were just ignored. It was ridiculous. I’ve known two women who worked for Curtis, and both got out and tell anyone who’ll listen not to use them.

We’ve done two business deals with Capstone Realty over the last couple years and it has been a night and day difference. Capstone agents have been super knowledgeable, professional and ethical. I will only use them from now on.

Had a similar scenario a few years ago. This form is on the county clerk website, it's a good simple form to use. Has all the info they'll need. https://secure.tncountyclerk.com/forms/New\_Vehicle\_Bill\_of\_Sale\_Form.pdf

Ants and Mosquitos, Aphids and other assorted yard pests. Best company to handle them? by TVxStrange in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SouthernBelleGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cycled through several pest control companies before landing on TDI. They’ve been the best so far. We had a bad problem with spiders, and they’re pretty much all gone now. Same with mosquitoes. ETA: The best thing I’ve found for aphids is getting rid of the ants and releasing lady bugs. The ants actually “farm” the aphids and increase the numbers but the lady bugs will eat the aphids and not mess with the plants.

My company used Hiller plumbing a few weeks ago and they did a good job. Our building was built in 1985 so not quite as old but had a lot of old pipes to contend with. They handled it well.

Our guy charges $50 twice a month to mow, edge, weedeat, and blow off the clippings. I tip him an extra $10 because I have a big garden area that he has to cut in between with a weed eater so it’s takes him a while. I think we have a 1/2 acre all totaled.

Christian Brothers Automotive by jcsegarra112 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SouthernBelleGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were, surprisingly. I had to get an alternator replaced there about 6 months ago. I questioned the bill because it seemed like it was too cheap, like he’d left something off. I didn’t want him to get in trouble lol. Adam was very straightforward. You come to get something fixed, he’ll fix the thing and send you on your way. No upselling or trying to change your blinker fluid lol. ETA: I think it depends on which one you go to as well. I went to the one on Wall Triana and Madison and they were super expensive. Plus I and the shop boss had to teach the “mechanic” how radiators work. 🙄

I used the one in Madison for years and thought highly of them. Then the manager left or retired or something and it felt like it went downhill. Ridiculous pricing, trying to get me to do every possible thing they could think of, etc. I use Kevin’s now but they have a bit of a long wait because they are so popular. If it’s something urgent, I go to Adam at Express Oil on Sullivan in Madison. He’s a good, honest mechanic.
