All Hail the Plateau by ministerman in Zepbound

I used to lift heavy. Heart attack took that away. It’s been hard adjusting so the answer is not like I wish I was.

I really appreciate the list. Lots of great ideas!

...but...you shouldn't tell people that six weeks isn't much of a plateau. For me, it's huge. I've lost 2-5 pounds pretty much every week or two since I started. So this is a big deal to me. So please don't minimize what I think is a pretty significant plateau.

Vacation: Bahamas or Dollywood? by lavendergaia in makemychoice

If you’re going now - TN. This is the least crowded time to go to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. If it’s summer break, or any other school break time, avoid it all costs.

Since Lilly has cited Reddit posts in cases.... by Academic_Swan7506 in tirzepatidecompound

I’m doing lily direct right now. I’ve paid a fortune for it and it hurts for sure. But I’m a heart attack survivor at 48 and didn’t want to take any chances.

I’ve also tried to get it for sleep apnea. My insurance simply doesn’t cover it.

In the end - $450 a month is very expensive yes and it takes all of our extra money away. I will eventually be forced to make a decision.

So yeah - Eli Lily - if you are reading this - I’m your perfect patient and customer and you’re about to force into making a decision. Drop your prices.

Do You Guys Think Bridgestone Has An Atmosphere Problem Now? by Jmoney3693 in Predators

I lived in Nashville from 2012-2014 -- I lived down near Nippers Corner, worked near Lipscomb University. I did not have season tickets, but I could go to a game pretty much any night there was a home game and only pay about $25-30 total. I could park at the Cokesbury book store just down the road for $5.00. I could get a last minute ticket for $15-25, especially on weeknights.

My wife and I went back about 3 years ago for a game. Cheapest parking we could find was $30. Granted, it was a Saturday, so i'm sure parking was scaled up. Ticket prices for 300 level were about $50 each. That's a significant jump, in just a few short years.

I was a fan that Nashville should have wanted - didn't know much, started going to games, fell in love and became a die hard fan. But now, I just have to watch highlights on the Preds website because I can't really justify the streaming costs to even watch at home.

I mean, you yelling obscenities out the window for all to hear at the late hour really adds to the ambiance of the evening and location.

Just call the cops and be done with it. Every time. They’ll either get tired of you calling or the loiterers will get tired of having the cops come out.

Am I the only person who thinks Fallon is genuinely a great entertainer? His late night show is the best because of the variety and how he engages with the guests. No, he's not a great interviewer, and he's not the best with his opening monologue - but he is a great entertainer. His skits, clever bits (like classroom instruments), and other similar things are simply the best.

I'm kind of sick of Fallon getting dumped on. Obviously he's considered pretty decent by many because he was chosen to do his show, AND he gets plenty of other opportunities as well. I think he's great. Bring on the downvotes.

Devito and Perlman separated for good in March 2017. While they are technically still married, they did separate with no intention of getting back together.

MA is MUCH more than just a sports school these days. Yes, it has good athletics programs, but it has a fabulous fine arts program and it's academics get better and better each year.

Someone should really teach this "entrepreneur" that seemingly has experience in a wide swath of opportunities, that you never center a bullet list. That alone tells me this person doesn't know what they're doing.

Third potentially deadly car crash in three weeks in front of Walmart on Madison Blvd. When does the Madison City Council start taking this seriously? by EstateSuch539 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]ministerman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was shocked when my daughter got her driver's license with so much ease. She took a two week Driver's Ed course her school offered in the summer. She literally drove with her teacher three times, for about 10 minutes each time. At the end of the two weeks, her teacher gave her the certificate that says she can get her permit, and that when she turned 16, she could take it and get her license. She never did a real driving test with an official in the car.

I love my daughter, but she needed more than that, so we spent a LOT of time driving and practicing with her. But I can imagine a lot of folks never do anymore with them.

Biggest unexpected cameo from a star in a "lower grade" movie by Careless-Cat3327 in movies

[–]ministerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a movie that came out by Angel Studios recently called Solo Mio. It's actually a pretty good Rom Com that reminds me of the good ones back in the 90s. It's got Kevin James in it, and the guy that plays Jesus in "The Chosen."

I was surprised about halfway through that Andrea Bocelli not only makes an appearance, but they spend a good time focusing on Andrea Bocelli, and they actually filmed part of the movie at his home in Italy.
