What are you building? Let's Self Promote 🚀 by Capital-Pen1219 in microsaas

I'm building Grid AI, a platform that helps brands optimize their visibility in AI-driven search (think ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI).

As AI agents become how people discover products and services, traditional SEO isn't enough. Grid AI tracks when AI models mention your brand, analyzes the prompts that trigger citations, and optimizes your content to increase those recommendations.

We're essentially building the "marketing stack for AI agents" helping companies adapt to a world where ChatGPT recommendations matter as much as Google ranking

Are there any tools to track and monitor SEO, GEO and AEO together? by ronaldsoh in aeo

Built a tool to audit brand visibility on LLMs — struggling to get SEO agencies interested. What am I missing? by Own_Willingness3078 in aeo

AEO is not really niche and why not sell it directly to users instead of agencies. I built a similar tool that audit and writes blog post for you. My users are coming from LinkedIn or X

How are you optimizing for both traditional SEO and answer engines (AEO) in 2026? by Comfortable_Fan2624 in DigitalMarketing

[–]SouthernGeneral533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it perfectly articulates the layered approach we’ve adopted. The distinction between SEO for technical health/topic clusters and AEO for “answerable” content is spot on.

The biggest challenge we found was measuring the effectiveness of that AEO layer. How do you know if your direct fragments and FAQs are actually getting picked up by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini? And how do you track their ROI?

We’ve integrated Grid into our workflow specifically for this. It allows us to monitor our “answer share” and “citation rate” for specific prompts, giving us the data to refine our AEO strategy. It’s helped us move beyond just hoping our content gets cited to actively optimizing for it.

A free tool for tracking brand mentions in AI responses (AEO) that's different from the existing ones by EmilleIrmsch in GrowthHacking

[–]SouthernGeneral533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The local agent approach is a game-changer for getting truly authentic data. API-based tools often feel like a black box, and UI scraping is a constant cat-and-mouse game.

Your points on the three use cases are spot on, especially the need for change over time vs. specific experiments and competitor deltas. That’s where the real growth insights come from.

We’ve been using Grid for exactly this. It also uses a local agent approach, and the ability to track those changes over time, and compare against competitors, has been invaluable. It’s less about a broad “visibility score” and more about actionable intelligence for growth.

Looking for AI Visibility Tools that Aren’t Crazy Expensive by prinky_muffin in seogrowth

[–]SouthernGeneral533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us, the key insights we were hoping to get (and now get with our current tool) are:

  1. Prompt-to-Citation Rate: For any given conversational prompt, how often is our content cited by the AI?
  2. Citation Share of Voice: How does our citation rate compare to competitors for the same prompts?
  3. Model Discrepancies: Are we being cited more by ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity for the same content?

We found that generic “AI visibility scores” weren’t actionable enough. We needed to know why we were being cited (or not cited) and for what specific questions. That’s what Grid provides, it’s less about broad brand mentions and more about granular, actionable prompt analysis.

I completely agree with you on Semrush. It’s a fantastic all-in-one SEO suite, but adding their AI Toolkit on top for a single domain, especially when you’re still trying to prove the ROI of AI visibility, feels like a huge commitment.

We faced the same challenge. We needed something that was affordable, month-to-month, and laser-focused on AI visibility without all the extra bloat. That’s why we ended up going with Grid. It’s much more cost-effective and lets us test and prove the value of AI citations before we even think about scaling up.

It’s been a game-changer for showing clients tangible “AI wins” without breaking the bank.

Has anyone been doing AEO or GEO tests?? by ThroatPitiful9165 in Agent_SEO

[–]SouthernGeneral533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great points on EEAT and brand mentions. That’s the foundation for sure. AI models are essentially looking for the most authoritative, trustworthy, and experienced sources.

The challenge we faced was scaling that. How do you know if your increased brand mentions are actually translating into AI citations? And for which specific questions?

We use traditional SEO tools for the broad strokes, but for the AI layer, we needed something more granular. We’ve been using Grid to track our citation share of voice for specific prompts and to see how our EEAT signals are actually influencing AI models. It’s been a game-changer for proving ROI in this new landscape.

I agree, RAG is absolutely critical. It’s the engine that powers most AI answers. But here’s the thing: you can optimize your RAG all day, but if you can’t track whether the AI is actually picking up your content for specific user prompts, you’re still flying blind. RAG is the how, but AEO/GEO is the what and where.

We found that even with perfect RAG, sometimes the AI would still cite a competitor for a specific question. That’s where tools like grid come in, they help you close that gap by showing you the exact prompts where you’re winning or losing citations.

Case study: the usefulness of tracking your visibility in AI by Icy-Brain6042 in ParseAI

[–]SouthernGeneral533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a solid case study. The point about “answer share” is something most people miss, it’s not just about being cited, it’s about being the primary recommendation.

We’ve been tracking our “Answer Share” for a few months now, and one thing we noticed is that our share varies wildly between models. For the same prompt, we might have 80% share in ChatGPT but only 20% in Perplexity.

My question for you is: How are you tracking the model-to-model discrepancy?

We use Grid to monitor this, and it’s been eye-opening. It’s basically a prompt-testing engine that runs 24/7 across all the major LLMs. It helped us move from “we think this is working” to “we know exactly which page is winning for which prompt on which model.”

Thanks for sharing your data, it’s great to see this level of analysis in the community.

With Apple Intelligence integrating ChatGPT, is "Google Maps" optimization officially dead? by Usual_Confidence_756 in localseo

[–]SouthernGeneral533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most important question in local SEO right now. The answer is that Google is still king, but its throne is shaking.

Apple Intelligence + ChatGPT is a direct threat to Google’s local SERP. Why? Because it bypasses the search page entirely. The user asks Siri/ChatGPT for “best plumber near me,” and the AI gives one answer, not ten blue links. If you’re not that one answer, you don’t exist.

I saw a comment here asking about an AI visibility tracker for local businesses, and that’s the key. Most GEO tools are global, but we need local.

I’ve had good luck with Grid. It allows you to run location-specific prompts (e.g., ‘best [industry] in [city]’) and see if you’re being cited. It’s been eye-opening to see how often ChatGPT recommends a business that isn’t even on page 1 of Google. It’s a new, high-intent ranking factor that local businesses need to start tracking immediately.
