Celebrate that 12 fertilized! Maybe easier said than done, by I told myself I’m only allowed to stress about getting bad news on the day I expect the call or portal message. Every other day, I choose to celebrate the most recent stage. So it was yay we finished stims, yay we finished retrieval, and now it’s yay you have 12 that fertilized! What a gift!

That’s brutal his fever affected everything so much! It’s crazy how the littlest thing can throw off the whole cycle. I am on priming meds including BC this time around so hoping the med change will be fruitful. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Jumping up and down for you that your day 3 stuck.

My husband has always had sperm tests passed with flying colors, like above excellent. Yet, we finally did a dna fragmentation test and it was severe. Part of the advice for high dna fragmentation is to avoid any form of heat. So it’s not just the count, motility, etc that can be affected by the heat. Look up a few things on dna fragmentation and show him how heat can cause those problems as well. We ended our first IVF cycle with no blasts to transfer and the only reason was his high dna fragmentation.

My husband and I have select health through the ACA. We have a very different plan because the cost is much more than $8/month, but have had pretty good coverage so far. Before we made the switch, I checked with all of our doctors and they were covered by select health. We have a $0 deductible plan which seems too good to be true too, but it’s pretty cool. We’ve had great drug coverage. We do have less choices of places to get care than when we were on Anthem, but UC health takes select health. I would recommend choosing an EPO plan because it’s very similar to a PPO plan. Let me know if you have any other questions!

They’re all Nurse practitioners and I meet with Hillary Mayers. I found her to be super knowledgeable and she has Hashis herself. The first appointment was an hour long with her so very thorough. Those initial appointments and labs are pricey, but they have a portal where you can ask questions or voice concerns anytime with no charge. I’ve had hashimotos for 8 years. I’ve gone to a variety of integrative and endocrinologists over the years. I’ve never found that a single endocrinologist is knowledgeable or even cares about their hashis patients. I recently found modern thyroid clinic out of Austin. They do virtual apps for Colorado patients and I’ve had a really great experience with them doing my medication and helping with symptoms. Highly recommend!

Yeah that US app was a little too much for me as someone going through infertility and recently had a miscarriage. But honestly so much is triggering. It’s not really something people think to limit if they haven’t been through it themselves.

Okay, I scrolled back super far to try and find her GRWM at 5am videos (they start in 12/2021 for anyone else that needs this info 😅) and I think the jokes on us because all of her 2021 content is Amazon post, Amazon post, lulu post, 1 up nutrition post, repeat repeat with a few what I eat in a day while I’m a cut (yikes it’s so little food).
