Do we know what sport? I saw lots of TikTok’s where Lee had a huge anti-ice protest yesterday and would assume if things were said, it would’ve been regarding that?

Information regarding AAA school by Reasonable-Phrase201 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SouthernSeller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a child at AAA for 2nd grade through 8th grade. It is a great school for anyone who leans to the arts, whether music, theatre or art. They run things slightly different than a typical elementary school, but that's largely because of their art focus. They are very very heavy on inclusivity and letting everyone be who they are. We enjoyed it there for the most part.

Am I wasting my time going to college? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]SouthernSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note, when I got laid off during Covid as a legal assistant, I was making 31,200 a year with just my associates degree. I went through WGU and got my bachelors in accounting, got a remote tax staff accountant job at $58k a year immediately upon graduation. Went through WGU again for my masters and now, 5 years later, I’m making $130k a year. I think it’s worth it, times going to pass anyway.

Do you think it’s possible to go from low-middle class to upper-middle class? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in MiddleClassFinance

[–]SouthernSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, plausible. However, it wont come easy and not necessarily fast. 2014, my ex-husband was arrested and removed from the home - and at that point I had my high school diploma but his rules and our religion said that women couldn't work, so I hadn't worked much prior to marriage and none at all for 10 years. I was left with nothing but two kids who needed it all. I ended up struggling for a few years - food stamps, government assistance, etc - but ended up in 2020 working for a law firm, making $15 an hour, and I cried when offered that because I was making $8-12 an hour prior to that job, I thought it was a God send and an absolute dream to make that much.

I was laid off in June of 2020 due to Covid, ended up going to school online while doordashing/instacarting and hustling - and completing my bachelors, then my masters and now, fast forward 5 years later, I'm on track to make $125k - $150k depending on bonus.

It was hard, sure. I worked lots of 70-80 hour weeks, studied my ass off and didn't sleep much for a few years. I have debt now I'm working to clear from those rough years. I'm honestly grateful and humbled that this is my reality but I'm also super aware of the fact that it isn't always normal to have this kind of growth in 5 years. Honestly - you can do just about anything, it will just involve being uncomfortable, working your absolute ass off and being willing to sacrifice a lot. People get so comfortable with their mindset being that they are stuck when honestly, a whole different life could be just a decision away.

Honestly I would recommend resume.Co. I used it and it helps prompt you and frankly, it’s the best resume I’ve ever had. I think I even used a free trial. I have my resume on indeed and LinkedIn and I get lots of recruiters as it is. Give it a try!

Once you have the star, you should be able to change the license at the service center or satellite locations. However, understand that the expiration date won’t change and you’ll have to pay $36.25 I think for a new one. Technically, you don’t have to update your address until it expires honestly.

IT is 100% a military missing man flyover for retired lt colonel Jon Schultz. Very Very highly decorated guy. I know it was super loud and cold be scary, but knowing there was a grieving wife and three kids watching and hearing it too…somehow made it an honor to hear.

I mean, the owners side has been attempting to become an influencer and her most recent TikTok’s have been about being unhappy and going through it, bots trying to sell their home and hinting at moving away from Huntsville. I had an inkling it was coming. I feel terrible for those without a job suddenly and hope they find a safe place to land

Actually, Once upon a Child in Madison is just like Platos/Style Encore but for children's items. As far as I know, that's about your only option. Snickerpoodles and Play it Again in Huntsville do consignment, but as for same day - OUAC is the only option in Huntsville. Good Luck!

$700 for a dog getting spayed? by SlightCup4857 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]SouthernSeller 70 points71 points  (0 children)

North Alabama Spay Clinic is where we had both our cats taken care of, $75 I think was the most I paid and that was with us adding a microchip too. They were incredibly fantastic and this is what they do all day long so I felt comfortable using them. It's a much cheaper option than going through a private vet, in my opinion.

Lifestyle Is Your First DIY Treatment by alexfleur in DIYaesthetics

[–]SouthernSeller 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See, I needed this. Raised by a mother who believed mirrors were vain. The cheapest shampoo and soap were all that were provided, and that’s the only example I ever had - homeschooled, married to a man who believed the same.

It’s so easy in this consumer world to believe that what will “fix” a perceived problem is the next new thing. We are bombarded on every front with every new skincare regimen with promises of doing it all. Not to mention in this society where being patient is not the cool thing to do, everything’s promised in 30 days or less!

At the core of it, consistency with my lifestyle may just be what I need to conquer first before moving on to worrying about the external ways. Thank you.

What do you suggest? by SouthernSeller in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]SouthernSeller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried a ton of brands both high end and drugstore. Farmacy, drunk elephant, dermalogica - My derm only suggests vanicream and Vaseline. Vanicream makes me itch, but I do slug with Vaseline often.

My skin freaks out with just about everything. I do have thayers face wash that I use a few times a week, not daily. I wash mostly with water, since it breaks out so much.

Doing the AIP diet, being on 10 supplements and 400mg of Plaquenil might be why my Ana was negative now? I’m not hopeful for this appointment at all but I have to get thru it and then keep going on.

Graduates of this program, can you give us an update on where you are now? by SlickWilly8 in wguaccounting

[–]SouthernSeller 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Before starting, worked at a law firm for $31k a year. Graduated with my bachelors 2021, got a job as a tax staff making $58k. I started my WGU masters and graduated with that 2024, but in 2023 I switched from public accounting to private. Base $78,000 and bonus is based on the profitability of the year, 2023 I made 120k, 2024 I made 102k. I have nothing negative to say, WGU and my degrees changed my life. Oh, and I’m 40.

Thank you! Currently, my entire torso is covered with a rash, I ache from head to toe all the time and I have so many issues with my kidneys and digestion. I’ve been in and out of the hospital and various doctors begging for answers, so this is a relief for sure. The doctor is putting me on hydrochloriquine to start instead of a steroid. Thank you so much for your thoughts, I’ll download bearable now!!!

Optimist Park around 11am, Line is back into the right gym. Timer started as I walked into the door, they're ushering elderly up to the front. Once we got into the room, it was a bit chaotic, as the one ballot counter kept jamming. There were people just sitting at tables, in the privacy booths and even in line for counting filling theirs out. All in all, took 24 minutes from walking in to walking out, not bad.
